I like what Rat said, but my mindset is a little different. I’d really like the team to address the back end and select either a safety or corner with one of their first three picks.
Woolen finished 65th among corners via PFF grades (I understand PFF is a volatile grading system on this board but here’s me showing research) with a 67.9 grade.
Love and Bryant are both pedestrian safeties imo. I truly believe the defense could make a huge leap with an eraser back there to force the QB to hold onto the ball for an extra tick. Or a safety like Kam who can make some serious splash plays and put the fear of God into the opponent.
Which is why I really hope the Seahawks draft at #18: Nick Emmanwori
Both Love and Bryant had really good seasons. I wouldn't call them pedestrian at all. Love in particular had a very strong season. I like Emmanwori, but I think people over hyping him. I have seen people compare him to Kam Chancellor and Kyle Hamilton. He doesn't really plays like neither. I think the closest player to him is Jeremy Chinn.
Through the draft, I would like to see another Edge, 3T, CB earlier in the draft. I would like to see a backup NT later in the draft.
Specifically a speedy Edge rusher like Josaiah Stewart would be awesome. He's small, but getting him in the 3rd and allowing to rotate through passing situations would be ideal. I would also target a potential 3T in Omarr Norman-Lott, Joshua Farmer, or Darius Alexander. All of these players bring power and quickness to a pass rusher. Lastly, another CB with starter potential would be great. Big fan of Trey Amos early and Jacob Parrish/Chandler Rivers later in the draft.
