This is how I see the season playing out. 10-7 and that's me being a tad optimistic. But I feel 10-7 is very doable.

I'm not 100% sure we beat the Bucs on the road, but I'm putting the "W" there because I don't think we beat the 49'ners (if all things are equal). Stupid logic, I know.

We will have a 5-game winning streak going into the game against the Texans and that's a game that can go either way.

I feel pretty good about the rest of the season. Not 16-1 good, but I have no reason to believe we can't win at least 12-13 by the end.

I watched Kyler go full Kyler a couple times during that game. He is what he has been since he got here. Hot and cold with an extra side of dumb decisions. The defense we saw today will eat him up.

Hard to tell how this team will do going forward. But there is something special with this defense. I think this year is the learning year. Add some more pieces and sign some players we have now and this team will take the next step. Maybe they go on a run this year. Who knows. But they are close.

The offense is still swimming in mud at times but you can see a plan coalescing with a greater distribution of the football this week. Once Charbs is better incorporated with inside runs along with K9 I think you start to see more traction. From there the play action can take off and Horton, and other guys can be involved.

Defensively they are pretty close to where Mac wants them to be but they still have things to clean up. I still think the secondary is in a state of flux regarding assignments.

I don't mean to go all Pete Carroll but will be very good if we can run the ball and not turn it over. Today's game was a perfect example of that. Two first half turnovers and we're down 7 in a half we actaully dominated. The second half we ran the ball and had two takeaways. The defense is gonna be solid as long as the offense doesn't derail them.

I think it will be feast or famine, Kubiak figuring out what he can do with these guys week to week and the ongoing adjustments as players learn the offense and each other. Defense is continuing to gel, health will be our main concern there waiting to get everyone back at the same time to see what the starting unit looks like as a cohesive unit. By game eight we should be much more cohesive and consistent. I hope we go on our run then. Darnold will settle in as well still looks uncomfortable in my eyes, having Kupp get more touches helped today, this is definitely a spread the ball around offense and looks much better when they can. I know to keep the defense hones we need some East West runs, but we look really bad at them. hopefully we can set an edge better going forward so the RB's have a chance to turn some up.

Even though I hate TNF, there would be nothing sweeter than picking up 3 wins in 11 days (including two road games) then getting a mini bye before a home game against a gritty TB team.

We heard all offseason that Darnold was carried by the genius of Kevin O’Connell and Minnesota’s weapons (as if he didn’t actually make the throws). Yesterday was very satisfying.

I feel our best is yet to come. We’ve not been at full strength on D and the offense is still finding their identity.

I feel like this team is just scratching the surface. Like many teams, probably won't be full locked in until October. But there are some really good signs, imo.
