Am I the only one who thought LIVE that Holani didn't control it at first? He did, but he laid it down so quickly that live it really did look like maybe he didn't control it. Shoot, he had time to just stop, pick it up and be done with it. But I'm sure in his mind, someone else should have been racing for the ball too. Incredible play. As I type this, 710 saying the same thing, so def. not just me :ROFLMAO: 🥃
Nope not the only one.

I posted in GAMEDAY….
….PLEASE LET IT STAND

I just knew it would be overturned

ALWAYS happy to be wrong in a situation like that

Seems like the refs were legit just letting them play. Both teams got away with some facemasks, and Ramsey was mauling receivers w/no call.

I worried at first but as it wasn’t a catch and just a fumble recovery then his controlling the ball enough to put it back down is a TD. But with the way the e refs weren’t calling anything against the Steelers I did worry about it.
I thought they would say he was out of bounds therefore could not be first to touch

First time in 45 years something like that has happened. Glad I watched the game!

It’s early but this will already be one of my favorite victories this year.
Yup. Beating the favorite Stealers in their home opener after a frustrating season opening loss against our nemesis was a real palette cleanser, and has given me renewed hope for our prospects this season. The second half was a thing of beauty after a first half that gave me that sinking feeling that we were going to beat ourselves that day. Resilience. Added to that was us making Rodgers's life miserable in the pocket, picking him off twice, running the ball right up the gut of their defense, making DK look less than ordinary, our offense finally looking like a multi-dimensional headache, and an absolutely glorious in-your-face moment on that kickoff TD.

I've still got the Rams games and the season ender against the 9ers on my to-do wish list, but yeah, a victory to savor.

I could tell they were letting both teams play the moment Darnold got absolutely uppercutted in the jaw (basically) on his TD throw to Horton.

That's when I knew this will be a physical game.

It's like...........how in hell do you not see that Darnold got blasted? It was blatant. Refs just let em play. I honestly prefer that.
Then again, there is nearly ZERO chance that they don't call that if it was Erin getting the same hit.

That's was the turning point of the game that absolutely killed any momentum the steelers had at that point in the game, and kudos to Holani for a very smart football play he deserves a game ball just for that not to mention the way he was returning the ball aswell...

Also Jay H for making sure his players knew the rules so definitely a better step unit than last year

Not sure what's gotten into Jay but I think whatever MacDonald told him after the preseason worked.
