That really was the time when we took control of the game. FG and then a TD on the kickoff is a huge swing.

After the first half I was ready to jump ship on Darnold. The adjustments worked thankfully, so kudos to the coaches for that.

Let’s be honest. This needs its own thread. That was a thing of beauty. Harbaugh must have drawn that up at halftime. :ROFLMAO:
BTW, Harbaugh autocorrected to garbage on my phone.
That is why they call it Artificial intelligence.

Good eye for a good post. That TD by Holani was the game breaker.

Am I the only one who thought LIVE that Holani didn't control it at first? He did, but he laid it down so quickly that live it really did look like maybe he didn't control it. Shoot, he had time to just stop, pick it up and be done with it. But I'm sure in his mind, someone else should have been racing for the ball too. Incredible play. As I type this, 710 saying the same thing, so def. not just me :ROFLMAO: 🥃

I was thinking the same thing. Had the ball moved ever so slightly when he fell on it, they couldn't have ruled that he had control before going out of bounds. But I'm not sure if he could have determined that the ball wasn't still rolling towards the end line, and if he couldn't, he would have had to get on it as quickly as he could by falling on it.

I think what surprised me even more was how quickly they ruled it a TD. All scoring plays are automatically reviewed and I don’t remember any time even passing. Imagine my relief when they actually kicked the extra point.

Yep. I was waiting for them to shaft us, because.....Seattle. Then, extra point. HUGE play.

Just was surprised how he quickly just threw the ball down after controlling it.

The fact that whether or not the Steelers returner did or didn't touch it was irrelevant expedited the review. They had a clear shot at Holani possessing it inbounds, plus it corresponded with the call on the field made it an easy review. They had plenty of time to stop play if they had the slightest question.

I was right there with you. I believe my exact words were " yesss, get the ball get the ball get the ball; NOOO you effin idiot". I thought for sure we were going to lose the TD on review but the relief was soooo sweet especially after they had the gall to put up that superbowl 40 flashback.

Very easy for me to say from my chair, but he could have just ran up there, stopped and picked it up. But in the heat of the moment, that's probably extremely unrealistic.
When he's lining up for the XP, I'm like...........YES!

I worried at first but as it wasn’t a catch and just a fumble recovery then his controlling the ball enough to put it back down is a TD. But with the way the e refs weren’t calling anything against the Steelers I did worry about it.
