REALLY? you dont think 4 turnovers is an issue?

Do you really think they all happen if our defense could have stopped them and we did not have to force it? We were down 14 points in The first 7.5 minutes of the game. We made them punt once. The defense got 0 turn overs. Sorry dude the defense was far and away the biggest reason we lost.

Yeah I do... those turnovers had nothing to do with the D

I think when the D gets torched and the O turns the ball over 4 times they lose pretty consistently... but I also think this team is missing Carson and Penny... when those guys get healthy, If they would go back to the run game in situations where they need to take away the other teams momentum by controlling the clock, moving the chains and then taking shots off of play action they would be far better off...

even if they went into half, down 14... it just sets up halftime adjustments and allows Russ to open it up on his terms

4 turnovers are the reason they lost that game if the hawks don't turn the ball over they probably score 3 times and win the game

The math would disagree. Buffalo scored 17 points off turnovers?

44 - 17 = 27

Hawks scored 34. Buffalo would then score 27. Who wins?

Every wants to drink the Let Russ Cook coolaid and I get that. He's the best QB we've ever had. But he can't do it all. Giving opposing offenses short fields to score points is never a good way to win games.

This loss was mostly on the offense.
What’s laughable is the fact that you expect the Offense to put up 30+ points of mistake free football to win hahaha the D will be our downfall your expectations are super unrealistic and a recipe for an early exit in the playoffs. Teams now have tape of at least two games on how to shutdown our Offense, good luck with this Defense!

This is so far off, my goodness. First off, 14 of the 34 points came after Buffalo already had 41. When the game was actually still close at 27-20, the defense promptly gave up a backbreaking drive that made it 34-20 and basically put the game out of reach barring a collapse only the Seahawks themselves are capable of. Two of the turnovers happened after that point. Not to mention the defense put us in a quick 17-0 and 24-7 hole.

Outside the 49ers game, our defense has been bad all season, no? Yet we still won those games.

The difference today was the turnover differential. That's on the offense.

This talk of the offense being the issue is asinine. Playing from behind the whole game and forcing matters because he had to are the reasons two of those turnovers happened. Good lord, Buffalo punted once the entire game. There are no more words to describe how bad the defense is.

Funny thread, because the team that just beat us basically dropped back and passed on every play. I think at one point they dropped back to pass on 23 of their first 25 plays.

Is it possible for both the defense and the offense to share some responsibility for playing poorly? I must have missed a memo that we need to defend one and bash the other.

It's hard to win when your defense gets run over, doesn't come up with a single turnover, and lets the other team get into the end zone instead of holding them to field goals. It's also hard to win when the offense cannot threaten a credible running game, the QB gets hit all game, and they turn the ball over four times. Both of those things can be true at the same time.

The Bills secondary has been one of the best this season while the Hawks secondary has been one of the worst. Do you think that matters as well?

Thats great but once you change one event such as one turn over there is no guarantee of anything after. And again we were down 14 point I the 1st qtr. You are right Wilson can't do it all, he can't cover wr. Help the defense make the other team punt it once etc etc. We made them punt once. There was nothing shown today that makes me beluve even without the TO our defense would have stopped them and so once again the offense would have had to be perfect.

And there in lies the issue. There was nothing I saw today that makes me believe our defense would have stopped them at all.

What is our result so far this year when we actually played teams with winning records? 0-2 how much did our defense give up? 37 and 44 but you do you and keep blaming the offense hahaha so laughable. No offense pressing that hard all season especially against the good teams we’ll see later on this year and in the playoffs will play 100% mistake free football good luck with that.

The Bills only ran for 34 yards but the threat of their running game was always there.

We are down to our 4th and 5th string running backs who either can't run the ball (Homer) or can't pass protect (Dallas).

That means the threat of the run isn't really there when Homer is in and you can tee off on the QB, or the pass protection isn't there so you can tee off on the QB.

LTH,

We've had good to great regular-season records for years now. Then flamed out in the playoffs outside of the wildcard.

There was hope we would be a competitive team in the playoffs as a result of the better offense.

This defense seems to indicate that is unlikely.

It isn't that people think the 6-2 record is bad or a disappointment. More that it likely won't matter.

We look like we are on track for the same results in the playoffs we have always had since the SB loss. If we lose our division leader status, we might not even win the wildcard if we get stuck playing the Saints, Bucs, Cards, or Rams.

6-2 is not disappointing. How we are losing, and even winning in some cases, is.

You dont get it.. I understand that losses can be emotionally tough...yeah this football team is not perfect but it doesn't matter how we win or lose games what matters is how this team is playing going into the playoffs... That's all that matters... period... The season is the place to lay all your eggs... work out all your issues... then when the playoffs come that's when it matters...

Don’t be mad we have expectations for a super bowl, if you honestly think this team is anywhere close to being playoff ready than you’ll need that toilet paper to dry your eyes after an early playoff exit. Maybe you’re fine with this but most logical fans have better expectations than what we’ve seen the past few years and certainly aren’t happy with how this defensive unit has looked so far this year.

I agree! I hope they come back with a vengeance as well, but our D has looked worse and worse. We’re definitely on the same side, but I remember how bad the rams smashed us last year the second time 28-12 and hope that trend doesn’t continue.

I agree ..The TO's killed us..The D isn't good enough to keep going out there
and saving things without some rest.
This has been the case all season but somehow it's D's fault on four TO's
according to some.. :34853_doh: :177692: :179419:
