I'm surprised he wants to play another year

His actions on the field make it appear as if he's ready to get out of dodge with his health still intact

An all-time great Hawk. Class all the way. Great player and a better person. Proud he was a Seahawk his entire career. No idea if he'll be back, seems unlikely. Thank you, Tyler.

Love Tyler. But, it’s time to move on.

I’d hate to see him go but would love to see him go to the Chiefs and get a ring.

Lockett is a legend and had to overcome the handicap of going to a second rate college.

There is absolutely nothing second rate about our land grant colleges.

With regards to Tyler Lockett, it was clear to me that the offense of the most recent offensive coordinator was trending away from the best of what Tyler brings to the field. But, Tyler is still a Seahawk and the last OC is gone. I think the next event. that will shed some light, will be the announcement of a new Offensive Coordinator. That will telegraph direction.

As far as Tyler's existing contract, same day termination of an existing contract and replacement with a cap friendly new contract has happen before.

Tyler's dad was drafted by the Chiefs and played for a few years with them. If he is let go by the Seahawks, I can see him ending his career in KC.

He was originally due $17M+ in 2024. Eventually he agreed to play for $5M + incentives, (which he didn't reach). Obviously he isn't going to be retained in 2025 at $17M. He'll be gone unless both he and the team agree on new terms. The team's opening offer, (should there be 1), is going to feel like a kick in the balls.

Seahawks offer will be a one year deal for vet minimum plus any player that wants to buy or sell a house, Tyler will represent them for free.

Imo it's time to move on. If not he should be a 4 or 5 on the depth chart. Need a solid 3 and Bobo isn't it.
Exactly. He’s too slow of foot to be of any real value. If we pick up a solid 3 in free agency I like 14 wins next year given our youthful roster coming off of a ten win season

Imo it's time to move on. Lockett was nowhere near where he was even the previous year. Time to fill that gap at wr3 with someone else. Maybe even someone who challenges DK.
This.

Honestly - ever since he started going down like a 2 dollar ***** at a shriner's convention :) ..... erp - anyways - I haven't been at ALL impressed with him in 4 years or so.

IMO he's had 1 foot out the door for a while and largely phoning it in. Yea, he's had some moments - but lost me at: "My high school coach told me to make the catch and get down. That's what I do.".

Sure..... We're all real impressed with the Real Estate gig, and the chastity pledge....... Isn't the social media connected universe just GREAT?!

Flame me if ya want. Get the cap space and move the F on.

EDIT: and after posting something recently - the MF that I miss the MOST as WR - ADB. Hands down. Not even a close contest.

4 years? Damn. Tough crowd.
Before this season, he had solid numbers for several seasons. Especially 2019-2022, damn good numbers.

Lockett, second to only Steve Largent all time for the Hawks. Coming to the end of his career, not worth the hefty contract for sure. But if he'd stay for the vet min, then hell yeah. I highly doubt they can fill the WR room with all guys better than him, even at this stage.
