Sad news. His time here coincides when we really began to be consistently good. Condolences to his family.

Ted Thompson was one of the best executives of all time. He made a huge mark on the model of sound roster construction as its known today.

He might be one of the biggest catalysts of Seattle's overall success. He helped build the team that netted Seattle's first Super Bowl appearance, and a protege of his in Schneider helped build the first Super Bowl winning Seattle team. His fingerprints are all over the landscape of the NFL.

He absolutely was one of the primary architects of what would become a generational era of success for this franchise. His success and track record in the NFL speaks for itself and is quite remarkable. Schneider is indeed a disciple of Thompson. Easy travels Ted, and thank you for all you gave this team.

I was going to say I didn't think he was that young. He's had white hair forever.
