With all the attention on concussions there is strong development in the TBI sector. This one might be a worthwhile investment if they could figure out how to fit it in a helmet. Add to that the Under Armour "fitness sensor" and maybe we can limit injuries to our players.

"Traumatic brain injury (TBI) is a common feature of life around the world, causing some 60,000 deaths each year in the US alone. The primary causes of TBI include shootings, falls, and traffic accidents. Of additional concern has been the recent discovery of the long-term effects of mild but repeated TBI, usually in the form of concussions, in participants of sports such as football, hockey, and martial arts. Overall, about 20 percent of TBI lead to death within a month, with many others resulting in permanent brain dysfunction."

For those that are interested in the latest happenings, gizmag.com is a pretty good site, short, concise articles and lots of different topics. I've learned a lot about outfits like Planetary Resources, who I would love to work for because I would have to move to Seattle to do so :th2thumbs:

They need one with a radio transmitter that sends a signal, a reading, to the video screen so we fans can visually "see" the intensity of the "hit". That would make for a new component to the game.

Soon I would assume... but right now.. its just to darn expensive for them to offer that kind of experience. The bandwidth, server capacity, all that technology in all the gear.. specialized developed apps..

Hrm.. wonder if they are working on that, I might have to hit up the NFL with my new streaming Technology im working on hehe
