SB or bust?? Ummmm...... let's win the division first maybe at least??

I love how everybody is treating this season like a cakewalk to the Meadowlands....

This team has what it takes, but c'mon let's be a little grounded.... one game at a time.

"everybody is treating this season like a cakewalk to the Meadowlands".

Care to give a few examples of this? I've not heard anyone, in this thread or out, describing the task ahead of us as anything remotely resembling a "cakewalk". Why the nonsense?

GOOD NEWS: "The road to the Superbowl runs through Title town". We are in "Title town" tonite. ;) Go Hawks!

Hmmmm,

As I watch these pitiful personal foul calls, indicating we might not be allowed to play our brand of (physical) football, my hopes of winning it all are greatly reduced. The call on Wagner in particular. Very much like the BS call against Kam (vs. VD) last year.

The way these officials are throwing flags on us...they must think this IS the SB. Sickening. Ridiculous.

If I could offer you one Super Bowl victory in the next ten years, while missing the playoffs the other 9 years....or making the playoffs 8 of the next 10 years, which do you take?

12 SB appearances over 18 years, 11 SB wins, 5 coming against the 49ers the other 5 against the Steelers and 1 against the Bengals. In 2036 80% of newborns are named Russell the other 20% Wilson. The HOF makes a list of greatest players ever and 10 of the 20 names listed are Seahawks. America takes a poll for "Americas team" and the Seahawks receive 93% of the votes, the other 7% is for the Browns who have become relevant and have developed the only team to ever beat the Seahawks in a SB. The Browns beat the Seahawks on a blocked FG that is run back for a td as time expires giving them a 15-14 win, years later the game is overturned after evidence is found that the entire Browns team was using PEDS, making the SB void. The Guinness World Record comes out with a book that has 40 pages dedicated to the Seahawks achievements. Time magazine comes out with a title "What happened to Pittsburgh?". I have not been drinking.

I agree that things have to go your way to win it all. I remember in 05' against the NYG and all those missed kicks, against the Cowboys, when there was the late interception.

Saw the same sort of thing with NO when they had their run a few years back.

I am expecting that of our team this year. We lost nothing but close games last year, strange games. Red zone opportunities against AZ. Close game in Detroit. Bad roughing call in MIA. Trick play in St. Louis. Uncharachterisric drops in SF. Defensive collapse in ATL (and Chicago) during the last ticks.

This year, I expect us to be on the winning end of these games. Unless there is a catastrophic injury, it's super bowl or bust for me as well. That is the universal way to measure success.

Remember how you felt the moment the clock wound down in the NFCCG? The moment you had tears in your eyes after all the emotion invested in this franchise? Was it because you finally figured out they were better? No, it was because they won. I spent two weeks repeating to myself, "We are going to the Super Bowl"

I want to spend next summer saying "We are freaking Super Bowl champions."

word.
