Spoon containing Murray was a key play

Lots of great plays in this game, but one of the ones that really stood out to me was Witherspoon not letting Murray get to the outside to run for a first down. I bet Murray was surprised at Witherspoons speed and then he was forced to throw the ball which became the pick six. Just an incredible play by Witherspoon to spin away and contain Murray.

He’s truly evolving into an elite level player.
Beginning to get a bit of recognition.

I’m not sure if “under rated” is accurate but it comes to mind.

Spoon is a special player, and one hell of a great draft pick.

Spoon was a huge part of that play. Murray screwed up, of course, with the throw, but Spoon forced the issue.

He's battling the sophomore slump and winning. Started the year pretty meh, but he's returning to elite form over the past few games.

Exactly. He had the heads up to not quit on the play after the pressure and continued on to make the key block. Outstanding play.

Now that the D has the linebackers it was missing Spoon is playing more free. I think we had to dial him down a bit at the beginning but now we can cut him loose. The sky is the limit the more reps they get to all play together
