I don't look forward to our home games anymore. Our once vaunted home field advantage died years ago. Even on the days the 12's being it with the noise, it doesn't seem to impact our opponents anymore. Below average teams, backup QBs, it doesn't matter. Our home games are like a coin flip nowadays. That's unacceptable.

Well we have 17 away games a year, always play to a hostile crowd. We get to lose another 11 games this year before hope springs anew next year only to get quickly dashed....

It was more sad than words can express that the Niners fans in the crowd were more vocal than our own. It seemed like an away game.

Why are our season tickets holders selling those tickets? Back the team

Crowd noise is way down. We are lucky to hit 100 DBs. Been that way for a few years. We used to be consistently in the 130s. That is a tremendous difference.

Seattle fans are very fickle,

Seattle fans are very fickle,

The crowd noise flows with big plays and when it feels like it makes a difference in the defense. Basically when the rushers get home or they actually get the opposing offense off the field. When gigantic runs are happening and first downs are happening over and over again. The crowd gets demoralized. The lack of take aways by the defense and what seems to be increased turnovers has been a huge contributor to the lack of crowd energy.

I know I tried my best to be loud but the difference with this team vs “the glory” days is that when I’m being loud it’s out of habit and to try and do what we’re supposed to do but with no belief inside the team was going to do anything to change the momentum of the game. Where as before I actually felt like as a crowd we had our impact, the energy and noise was for something, and really at any time the team could swing the momentum.

Because they knew we were gonna get stomped and it was a good way to make back 1/3 of their season ticket to watch the game at home.
It's not just this game though, there was lots of broncos fans in the first game. Niners were banged up, it was more winnable than previous years

The "Home field noise" advantage is directly related to how good your defense is. The crowd always starts loud at the beginning and once the defense proves it can't get a stop, the noise peeters out. Our home field advantage and record has as bad as our defense has been in recent years. You can only yell for so long before you say what's the point

Maybe that’s why fans sell their seats. I know I would if the team plays this way. Of course try to sell to hawks fans. But also don’t want to get sued because people are insane.

As said before, the home field advantage vanished years ago. It dissappeared when fans realized there was really no hope. The team has been in a stagnant trend for years. The fans followed suit.

Bump.

If and when we ever get a new stadium, I hope we go back to a dome. There is no point in having an open air stadium in Seattle if you always play sloppier in the rain your opponents.

When we lose to the Rams next week, we'll officially be BELOW .500 at home since 2019.

Yesterday was so bad, it was the first time I've ever left a game early. 30 plus years of being a STH. Once it hit 31-3, I bounced. And it was justified. Team played like garbage, all day long. I miss the home field advantage because it hasn't been there in a long while. Just maddening.
