You have to have a dominant pass rush with that noise. Then the tackles will want to get out of their set quicker to defend the rush. Where was the pass rush Sunday? Your defensive line was basically healthy .
DLaw was out. And DHall went out early in the first quarter. He's been applying a lot of pressure and was definitely missed that game. He could miss a few games.

Add in that refs let dudes hold, it was that type of day.

Here's a theory - the homefield noise makes it harder for THIS DEFENSE to communicate.

They were still trying to do hand signals, while the Bucs already got their plays off.

Why this defense and not others? Because MM's defense is complicated. People need to be on the same page.

Compound with no Julian Love - Okada is just not on the same level. The result was dudes wide-freakin-open.
I was thinking this exact thing

were you at the game? Just curious
Hey Soul, yeah I was there. Section 310. It was loud. Just not loud enough. I remember qbs not even being able to call the play in the huddle. It gets modestly loud at the LOS but just need more to really impact the game. Teams have adjusted as well. 110db to 130db is head shaking loud.

It only hit 130 on the rarest occasions, like Beast Quake and when we were trying for the record. Most of the time it was around 110. Nowadays it's 100-110, but you have to realize the team is giving up drive after drive. Hard to maintain your voice when the defense isn't doing its job. In the LOB years, they could get off the field and keep the crowd fresh.

Bottom line, there is nothing wrong with the crowd noise aspect to the home field advantage. It's the team not rising to the occasion and in particular the defense. And maybe it is poor communication but something has to change.

We’re missing integral starters on defense and Mayfield took advantage of a practice squad in the secondary. Aside from that Hall went out early and the Bucs had 3 penalties and zero turnovers. Hawks had 7 penalties for more yards and two fumbles. I feel like fumbles or late game freak play interception/fumbles led to their only losses. These are fixable issues. Myers needs to stop sniffing the salts and start striping it between the pipes, he’s lost us two games this year with bullshit shanks. He’s ass. I’ll be surprised if they don’t try out a local Jucco kicker to close out the year tbh
