Kellen Davis is the best blocking TE on this team, and one of the best in the NFL, it will show here in the coming weeks.

"one of the best blocking TE's in the NFL" title doesn't fit when he's also the highest penalized player on your team and he's played 1 less game than anybody else. So hopefully what shows in a couple weeks is no more holding/false starts for him.

He's played in 2 games with this team and so I honestly don't know what all the hate for Davis is. Like I said in another post, Giacomini and Browner went thru their penalty phases and look where they are now. So wait until he costs us a game or shows absolutely zero production before you decide to play GM and start calling for his release. It's obvious that they're going to release Spitz if Unger is ready to go since we have a solid back up in JeanPierre.

Lotuleli? Really? cut loose another promising LB? I was pissed when we lost Bradford

Screw the rules. If they're any good we should play 22 defensive players at the same time. It's clear that Lotuleli can't play because he has yet to beat out Bobby Wagner.

I predict that Irvin will look like a totally different player against the run and that he will do it immediately.

This guy has been building up like an unstable reactor, he wasn't injured, he was suspended and wants to make up for missed time. Oh yeah, he has his best bud Clem on the field with some new friends.

Avril, Clem, Irvin, Schofield, Bennett next to Red, Bane and McD? Yikes.

Maybe it's the short crop haircut, but I swear the dude looks huge compared to last year.

I rather they cut Lotulelie than cut Morgan or Smith

I agree he was always lean. He looks about 15 lbs heavier and just as lean.
Seriously. He's a monster this year, so hopefully it doesn't slow him down. I really feel like he's about to explode.

There's quite a few players that should be cut over Lotulelie, Morgan and Smith. Kellen Davis and that backup center are a few.

I like that he turned his hat around for the interview, didn't want to look/come off as a hoodlum on TV. Taking it off may have been the best option, but at least he's thinking about his image.

On top of writing that check for WVU so they could upgrade their weight room...

Dude is really taking big strides on his way to maturity.

Can't wait to see what he brings to Indy!

I just keep getting this image of him from pre-season on a couple of snaps when it seemed like all other players on both teams were moving in slow motion and slightly out of focus while Irvin was effortlessly in a faster motion... sorta like a vampire.

Also remember thinking to myself, "Damn he looks huge this year."

Irvin looks considerably bigger, Kam was bigger than Irvin last year. Now Irvin looks to have the same size as Chris Clemons, but with more speed. I can't wait to see Irvin's speed flying around the field.

Can't cut a player on the active roster that you signed from a practice squad until they have 3 weeks in.
as for that tight end.. Davis.. Dood blocks good. and has caught everytyhing thrown his way.. 1 bad game with penalties but come on guys.
your starting to sound like the fickle bandwagon fans hahahahah.. scoot over. make some room for me

Yep.

Called the first one so far. Lotueilei was cut to make room for Daniels.

Holding penalties in the oline? *sigh* I can live with it. False starts on a six year vet? Not so much. Kellen has 2 false starts and 3 holds in three games. He had four false starts in the three games he played before coming to seattle.

Davis is a te in name only, he has 3 catches vs Jacksonville or some such. His job is to take over Persons Tackle duty and with our oline the way it is he is not going anywhere until we get another blocker. I bet the fo is actively looking though.
