On offense, I am Beasting, he is taking it to another level with no end in sight.

On defense, I am going with #29 Earl the Pearl, he is playing out of his gourd.

Can't argue w/ either of those. Earl's had a LOT of tackles and he's getting the picks. On offense it's hard not to pick Russell but w/out #24 I think we lose a few more games in the first half of this season.

Offense: Russell Wilson
Defense: Chris Clemons (they look different when he isn't there)

On offense, I'll say Russell Wilson. Most guys would struggle in our passing game the way it is constructed, but he just finds ways to make plays and extend drives. I don't blame people who point out Marshawn Lynch, but our line can actually run-block, so I think Wilson has the harder task.

On defense, it's Michael Bennett. The guy should be getting DPOY consideration because he is killing it both inside and out on the line. Playing next to him is going to make both Clinton McDonald and Tony McDaniel rich in their next contracts. What a beast.

I agree. Just looked at the stats. Lynch is #2 in the league for 578 rushing yards - behind Shady's 685 rushing yards. ET has 43 solo tackles - 13th in the league and 4 interceptions - 1st in the league. I'll also add Wilson as a bonus for a 97.2 QB rating - 8th in the league, which is outstanding considering our OL, and Jon Ryan for having only 8 yards returned on punts - 1st in the league by a mile (31 yards is 2nd).

Offense:

1: RW3
1A: Baldwin, some of his clutch catches this year have saved our tails

Defense:

1: LOB as a whole

On offense it has to be Wilson. His elusiveness has been critical in extending drives.

On defense its more of a toss up. You can't go wrong with either Thomas or Bennett. But I'll go with Bennett because you can see the difference in the pass rush between last year and this year, and that difference isn't Avril.

Russell and Earl.

The numbers don't quite reflect how phenomenal Wilson has been.

Earl has a legitimate claim to being the best defensive player in football. His next contract is going to be MASSIVE.

This is who I've got, too.

On offense it would be the two headed monster (insert beast with two Backs jokes here) that is Wilson/Lynch for me. Beast getting things done seemingly on his own and Wilson is 21st in the League for rushing on top of his ever increasing prowess at chucking the rock. Add Harvin to this and we could have a full blown Cerberus!

On D it is hard to argue against Earl, but Like another said when Clemons is in there the Defense is just different in a damn good way. Both of these guys have range to be able to assist wherever needed too.

Ok so I am non committal.

Tie between Wilson and Beef Moe on offense, and a tie between Bennett and Earl on defense.

Anyone not including Bennett in the discussion on the defensive side of things is nuts, IMO. He's playing some wicked football thus far.

I'm doing Lynch on offense. As bad as our OL pass pro has been, Lynch is the #2 rusher in the league, behind that same poor OL, against most of the best run defenses in the league. That's all Marshawn there.

Defense I'm going Bennett. He's creating a ton of the pressure that the LoB feasts on. He can pressure the passer from any position, and he's also great against the run. The hand down best FA aquisition this year.

I am going to respectfully disagree with your reasoning for Lynch being the OMVP so far this year. The OL is a solid run-blocking OL - according to FO, 13th in run-blocking, 27th in pass blocking. http://www.footballoutsiders.com/stats/OL

This matches my own viewing, in which we are running the ball well particularly to the right behind Sweezy, a plus run-blocker, and Giacomini/Bowie.

The only thing that we seem to stink at is 3rd-and-short running. We get stuffed an awful lot, and FO verifies that sense that I think most of us have - they have us at 31st(!!!) in that area so far, converting 39% of our third- or fourth-and-two or less run plays. Ugh.

You know you have a good D when probably the best corner in football hardly gets a mention for defensive MVP
