So, are we all hoping we get Washington in the playoffs?

I think that Washington would be the "easiest" out of all of the current possibilities. Really don't want to go to Green Bay or New York.

In some sick way, I wouldn't mind going to either of those venues.
Green Bay: if we win, it might dampen that damn "Fail Mary" (I HATE this name by the way) play in everyone's mind.
New York: everyone (except us) are on the Giants jock all the time, it would be nice to beat them to really get into people's mind how tough the Hawks have become.

Washington, Green Bay, New York, SF, Atlanta....whomever. Let's take care of business 1st this week and next.

So you guys won't be watching and rooting for any teams other than the Seahawks today to see a certain playoff picture?

I would like to see Wilson VS Griffin and see RW whoop DC. That we should everyone up for sure.

I'm leaning toward wanting Dallas. I want our Defense on field turf if at all possible. I know NYG have it. But Dallas is closer and I think we have a better shot at knocking them off.

Who cares? just get in, I believe we could take any team in the NFC if we're in and at full strength, meaning we need Sherm.

Dallas just has to win today and next week to get in, or do they need help?

Dallas wins the division with 2 wins since they play Wash next week.

Is there any chance at all that we could get a home play off game?

I think there are a lot of people who would like to see us play Dallas.

There's something really glorious about watching Romo implode. It would be super sweet to see it happen in their house.

We beat them 27-7 early in the season with a vanilla offense.

"The Seattle Seahawks didn't just beat the Cowboys on Sunday. They physically knocked them around."

"Still, the point was made: These Seahawks aren't soft."

Dome game, fast turf, no weather to worry about... yeah, there are good reasons to want to play there.

I think Seahawks at Redskins is a more exciting NFL storyline, but the Cowboys are a known quantity, and therefore also less dangerous.

If Seattle wins out and SF loses out we win the NFCW. Since I don't think SF loses to AZ next week that's highly unlikely but possible. If we win out we also get the 5 seed IIRC which would mean if both WC teams were to somehow make the NFCCG we would be the home team.

There's a bunch of detail on this, but the short answer is yes, we could, two ways.

We could have a game in the first two rounds if we were NFC West winners. This requires us to win two games and SF to lose two games (i.e. must lose at home vs Cardinals, probably a long shot).

We could have the NFC Championship at our house, if we are the 5th seed i.e. top wild card. The 6th seed would have to win two games on the road vs the 3rd seed and vs the 1st seed, and we'd have to win our two games on the road vs the 4th seed and vs the 2nd seed. If that all happened, we'd host the 6th seed.

Both are long shots, but we do have a chance...

Green Bay is the last place I want us to play (esp. this time of year). @ NYG spooks me as well; distance, time, weather and they're just a very unpredictable team, typically catching fire about now.

I like our chances vs. RG3. Even with the above elements. I think we will force RG3 into making some rookie mistakes. I like our chances at all of the indoor venues, including Atlanta, but especially Dallas. The Cowboys are enjoying an unusually great December....but momentum is not something they are familiar with...they will fold sooner than later, IMO.
