He will be a free agent in March, he needs like 60 tackles for the all time record and he will come in cheap.

It would be a perfect ending to a great career and let's be real, he's not a horrible player.

I think the defence is solid enough to take on this project and still be ranked #1

Just for a comparison of a spot he could take...
Bobby Wagner (WAS Commanders - 2025 Stats)
  • Total Tackles: 162 (79 solo).
  • Sacks: 4.5.
  • Interceptions: 2.
  • Passes Defensed: 4.
Tyrice Knight (SEA Seahawks - 2025 Stats)
  • Total Tackles: 33.
  • Sacks: 2.0.

Love Wagner but rather just re-sign Drake Thomas long-term (RFA I believe) and keep giving the young dudes snaps. Now if it’s opportunity down the road where Wagner is still a free agent and someone gets hurt. Sign him.

Between Jones, Thomas, Knight, O’Connell (another RFA I believe), and with both Pooh Paul JR and Jamie Sheriff whom I believe stayed on the PS 100% of the time this season and should be re-signed on futures, the ILB group looks solid.

We whooped the Skins. No Wagner sighted. Three tackles. He's gonna want cash for those empty stats. Bigg, slow and expensive like Brooks. Mike would cut him.

Wagner is one of my favorite Seahawks of all time and he does appear to have a little something left in the tank but when you see guys like the above mentioned Drake Thomas flying around all over the place, I think it would make more sense to invest in youthful talent.

Bobby Wagner will go into the Hall of Fame as one of the best Seahawk players of all time!!

I hope he proves he still has something left, but this is really more of a "maybe if we have some injuries and he's still available" kind of thing for me.

Only if he’s going to retire so he can retire as a Seahawk but as an actual participant, that ship has sailed and we should stay with the youth.

Knight wasn't the starter most of the year, so I don't understand the comparison.

Well, I think it was just that Wags wouldn't come in to replace EJIV, so the apt comparison would be to one of the other (lesser) LBs. The point being that Wags may not even be depth on this defense now.
