Should the Hawks pursue Milton?

I don't think so. The team signed Darnold, he's 27 and got him for three (can be two) years. I think they're more than likely going to draft a QB with one of their first three picks.

Big arm, great Athlete. I would trade a late round pick. No way a 4 or 5.
The patriots got him with a 6th so I'm not sure they'd take that or less, plus I think he still has 3 years left on his rookie contract..

Just no point. The time would’ve been in a DK trade, getting a pick and Milton for DK. But considering that didn’t happen and the team signed Darnold and still has Howell I don’t see them trading for Milton.

I wouldn't go that far. Sure there's a point. If they've had their eye on him previously and he's available - bring him in and see what he's got. I wouldn't trade a draft pick this year but maybe a conditional future pick (if he makes the team) or just wait for his release. He played well in last game of season against backups. But, give him credit.
What was the point of drafting Wilson in 2012 when they already had signed Matt Flynn to an enormous franchise QB FA contract? You always look for emerging players. Especially QB.

Well, the reason this is even a discussion is that the Patriots signed Dobbs to be the veteran backup.
They're just trying to recoup a pick and maybe also trying to do right by the player who had some intrigue before last year's draft. Milton might be worth continued development in right situation.

Flynn's contract was 3 years, $26m with only $10m guaranteed. That was considered modest even at the time. And Russ was a third rounder, I doubt he was expected to take the job immediately.

That contract is probably really close in cap percentage to what Darnold is getting. Darnold has proven more than Flynn ever had too. I'm no Darnold stand but his contract leaves our options open in the future. No big downside to it at all.

Would've been better use of time. This was over analyzed. My only other comment is about WCO quick decisions. I sure didn't see that out of Darnold last year, particularly last 2 games. I have friends that are Vikings fans so watched some games with them. Friends of other teams think we are getting the old Darnold not the one with all the Vikings weapons. We've only got JSN at this point that is proven. Milton is raw and moldable. I'm in no campaign to sign him. Only chimed in to say he's got potential. Sheesh.

Not just no, but hell no. So extremely overrated after a decent game vs backups. If we wanted him we could've drafted him. We even had pick #192 and took a 2nd corner we cut in DJ James and Milton got picked at 193. If Milton was so good, why did the Patriots sign Josh Dobbs to be their backup over Milton, yes, Josh Dobbs.

Well, the Cowboys gave up a 5th for Milton + 7th rounder.
