Very surprised not to see a post regarding today's softball game.
Little recap:
The wife and I went and were sitting four rows up directly behind home plate. All the seating was general admission hence the reason why people started lining up at 8am. Glad we got there when we did at about 9:45 gates didn't even open until noon by noon the line wrapped all the way around Cheney field. Could have got some autographs but wasn't in the mood to fight the crowd but managed to get the Trufant brothers after the game and the wife wanted Sherman's mom autograph so I said ok.
The home run contest was just about as exciting as the game was, and as far as I know no injuries occured. It was great to see the team off the field and to see how close knit they were. They had Easley (REF that called the tate play in MNF) ump at 1st base of course the calls didn't always go the way they should have
One play Russell didn't agree and charged first base and kicked dirt, threw the hat and threw the base reminded me of the Lou Pinela days.
All in all a very entertaining day at the ball field.
GO HAWKS!
