Great column this time around. It might seem solipsistic, but with how good our guys can be, I agree it really only matters if they play to their level.

I'll admit, I was skeptical when I heard Sherman would be a guest contributor to SI's MMQB. Thought it was some kind of publicity stunt or something. Boy, was I wrong.

It's clear that SI has got an editor reviewing and "correcting' some of his material, but from the looks of things, that editing is minimal. Sherm is a conscientious writer and I enjoy reading his stuff. He is a very well-educated guy who isn't afraid to let you know EXACTLY what goes through his mind.

Respect is a word that pops out of his vocabulary on a regular basis. I like it.

This is exactly how I felt reading that... Obviously a different person when he's not playing to the moment.

As much as it makes some of our fans uncomfortable when he talks, maybe they will feel better after reading him and understand its all part of the show.

This is why I love drinking. It's like I'm competing against myself. It's such a mental game.

^This. It's like a Game of Thrones against oneself.

I'm not sure we will be able to give him 100 mil , but maybe 60-70 mil with 50m guaranteed would do the trick.

Russell: "I'm sorry for your loss."
Kaepernick: "Huh?"

Kaepernick (after the game): "Ohhhhh... THAT loss..."

This is my favorite quote from that article.

Richard Sherman":j7s6ns5o said:
You might ask, how can you hold a Boldin in the same regard as a less-experienced receiver on another roster? How does a rookie like Denard Robinson inspire the same effort and tenacity as a Calvin Johnson? It’s because I owe Denard and every other NFL receiver that same level of respect, simply for the fact that he’s an NFL player. This is the mountaintop of our sport, and if you ever disrespect that, it will be a long day for you.
