Sherman is my favorite on field Seahawk and my least favorite off field. He looked stupid, immature and petty here. He's mad because Salk was critical of Sherman when he told Moore he was going to ruin his career at a press conference and then tried telling everyone he didn't say it.

For all the things I love about Sherman - most of all being his performance on the field as a Seahawk - I have always found him to be extremely thin-skinned. It's what actually made him so great. That underdog mentality, chip on the shoulder, us against them, etc, etc. It was the very life blood of what made us Champions. But the other side of that coin is being overly sensitive, fragile and unable to take any criticism no matter how slight or constructive.

Meh. I will always love Sherman for the good times and what he helped bring to this franchise but as a person he just comes off insecure.

I highly dislike the trend in sports media over the past decades where it has become all about heated manufactured debates, arguments, and hot takes from people who never did squat in the game (it's fine to have an opinion if you didn't play, but don't be a jerk who acts like they know more than the athletes); meanwhile the athletes have been expected to sit by nicely and take this junk in stride. Cowherd, Stephan A, Skip, Rome, etc. Oh, how I miss the class, intelligence and decorum of Dick Schaap, John Saunders, and prime Joh Clayton.

Thankfully with the invent of podcasts athletes are claiming their place in the media landscape, and you can hear from people who have done it via their own channels: McAfee, Sherm, Stephen Jackson and Matt Barnes, Taylor Lewan and Will Compton, Spittin Chiclets etc.

I don't like some of the over the top, shock jock type guys like Cowherd, Bayless, and Stephen A... That being said some of the best coaches and football minds in general never played the game, at least not at a professional level. Hell, Mike Leach never played at any level and has been one of the most innovative offensive minds in footballs recent history. We shouldn't judge these guys off whether they played or not (there's plenty of guys that played and are dumb as a door knob). We should judge them honestly based on what comes out of their mouths and how accurate or truthful it is in and of itself...

I was pretty annoyed with him for his postgame rant following the AFC championship game. Since then, however, I have been a fan of his off-field media life.

Richard Sherman might be in a position to interview RW after he wins On tNf. How’d Sherm feel if Russ just said on live tv that he would only talk to Fitz and Whit and Sherm should just shut up. Think Sherm would do it? Think that was at all fair?

Sherm not only embarrassed himself, but disrespected the post football career path that both he and kJ are on.
