I’ve hated that show, and I’ve been very critical of it.

I’ve gone as far as asking people to stop tuning in.

I hate it so bad that I avoid it at all costs.

Lol

Fast forward to today.
I had that channel on when the show came on, was busy around the house, not sitting in front of the TV.
Started hearing unfamiliar voices talking about the Seahawks.
I had no idea that the cast had changed so drastically.
Their segment involved picking their teams for the conference games, and they all picked the Seahawks.
Typically I don’t put much weight on that type of stuff but they all provided their reasons and actually included some respectable break downs.

I don’t know when the changes took place, but now that Peter bag is gone combined with what I heard today might just get me to tune in again sometime.

Oh yea I forgot

Small apologizes to anyone I busted on for watching.
I really didn’t know that it had changed so much.

You're forgiven, lol.

I watch it because it's part of my morning ritual and I do like the current cast. Sure, it's not hardcore X's and O's and metrics, the format is a typical morning talk show which just happens to have NFL as the topic. I've been extremely critical of their lack of Seahawks coverage in general over the years but they have gotten better, and now that the Seahawks are the best team in the league, they have no choice but to cover them.

It's just entertainment. If I want hardcore breakdowns and analysis I have my dedicated YouTube podcasts for that.

That's very similar to how I described it very recently here.

Personally, I find it pretty entertaining, and I like Erdahl and Brandt. 🤷‍♂️

I started watching the show regularly during our preseason to get an idea what the vibe was for the Seahawks. I will admit that I don’t usually watch it all. I’m looking mainly for Seahawks content but sometimes other segments jump out at me as I fast forward through quite a bit depending on the content on any given day. I will say that today was interesting to me because they make it a point not to all pick the same team. Even last week 3 picked Seattle and Hamie went Niners just to keep from them all being the sake. So when they all went Seahawks I was surprised.

Kyle has been high on the Seahawks and picked them to win the division in the preseason. Jamie and Mantei have kind of gone back and forth on them but have been coming around more as our defense has shown more and more domination. Isaac is a guest host as they have different people fill that fourth slot so I can’t say how long he’s been picking them.

I was extremely surprised on their take on Sam Darnold. I think they were balanced in their understanding of what Sam has been through. Was interesting when Kyle said what we have all heard...Even if Sam wins the Super Bowl there will be people saying he cannot be trusted.

Funny you posted this. I get really tired of GMFG. But today it was damn good. Especially Kyle. He called out a LOT of people and had Sam's back.

Kyle has been onboard all year, I was surprised Mantei didn’t pick the lambs. He has a man crush on Stafford and puka

Well one thing's for sure; Manti Teo has never been accused of poor judgement. Hopefully that goes better than his famous relationship 😉

Still really bummed on First take that Mina took the rams. SMH for such a hardcore fan she picked the rams really quick. Guess shit changes when to make it to the “big media”

I meannnnnnn yeah glad they picked Seattle… but they only said mainly because of home field. They went back and kept saying how much they love the rams and how the rams have a better team overall.
So their picks were stupid

I GUARANTEE you it's because she doesn't want the "homer card" attached to her hence forth. She even talked about it in an interview I watched lately and she said in paraphrase: "I think I've been a bit more critical than I should have (on the Seahawks)" due to the nuance of having a favorite team yet trying not to show any bias being a national analyst. Being taken seriously is very important to her, especially since she is quite good at what she does.

We all know what she really thinks deep down.
