You can probably guess why this is in the main forum. 8) We get love! Wilson to Harvin will be a sick combo. Not a word about Kaepernick/Crabtree, too.

Thanks for the link. Great video. I am extremely excited to see our defense, but even more excited to see what our Wilson - Harvin combination can do

Should be noted that the theme of the discussion is "best NEW QB/WR duo," meaning pairings that are new for this season. Crabtree and Kaepernick don't qualify.

tomlinson is definitely not drinking the Seahawk Koolaid, he thinks Palmer and Fitz will be a more potent duo? maybe because like they said, there is no one else to throw to there. Was suprised he picked our D...shocked actually... I'll take Wilsons elusiveness and Harvins playmaking ability any day over that duo..

Sometimes they have to pick Fitz because he too often gets the benefit of the doubt in a questionable pass interference call. However we have more than one receiver who will be an awesome weapon this year, I am so jacked that Wilson will be able to have far more options than even last year.

Still, they could have listed Kaepernick/Boldin.

Well...its hard to argue with any duo that features Larry Fitzgerald. Unless John Skelton or Kevin Kolb is involved... :snack:

Although I'd like to see Boldin on the list... he has to prove he'd belong on there. I see a ~800yd 7 TD year for Boldin, but not a true #1 receiver year.

And I wouldn't be surprised if Fitz/Palmer had more yards and TDs than Harvin/Wilson only because they're going to be down in almost every game and throw tons of yards. That's why Stafford/Johnson has to be the #1 on this list.

That comment makes me feel that they need to put together a metric for WRs that factors in their contribution to a team's winning.

For example, target completion %, 3rd down conversions, all 1st downs, red zone effectiveness, YAC... you get the message.

Yards and/or TDs alone do not tell the whole story imo.

That makes sense... this stat as it is right now is like a Fantasy Stat, not a "Success Rating" stat.

LT actually has a good point. Fitz and Palmer did more with less last season. Match them with the reigning coach of the year and they could make some noise. More so if they get any kind of running game. They had fewer team rushing yards than either Lynch or Gore in 2012. Both Seattle (2,579) and San Francisco (2,491) had twice as many team rushing yards than Arizona (1,204).

this has nothing to do with him being on the opposite side of the hawks in this particular case but Tomlinson is sort of a terrible talking head. He reminds me a lot more of a Tracy Morgan SNL character than he does a serious analyst. I sort of cringe when he starts talking.

I agree, Can't really take him seriously. But honestly, most of the talking heads are pretty worthless IMO

I cant see anything wrong with this idea. Palmer for all his faults has a cannon arm and a decent deep ball. Having Fitz there instead of his normal grouping of WR's should present a great opportunity for him. Could be another Warner/Fitz like duo.

I am not sold that they have completely corrected their OL issues though. But taken alone Palmer is quite good really and Fitzgerald is Fitzgerald he is the man.
