This.Agreed that we need to keep Shaheed.
He's a threat any time he touches the ball.
His speed and twitchiness (if that's a word) are incredible!
He has literally changed the momentum of at least a couple of games for us with his returns in his short amount of time with us.
I hope Schneider will do everything possible to get him re-signed!
But the coverage and accountability that he draws? Absolutely priceless. He spreads the opposing D in a delicious fashion.I was surprised by Shaheeds talent. Clearly, he has grabbed a significant role with us. Maybe #2...not only fast, great hands, durable...
We had that early on with DK, until the other teams figured out he wasn’t that big of a threat. But the coverage and accountability that he draws? Absolutely priceless. He spreads the opposing D in a delicious fashion.
The Shaheed trade was the Percy Harvin trade done right. Schneider learned from this previous mistake.
In the Percy Harvin trade, the Seahawks gave up a lot of draft capital (a 1st, a 3rd and a 7th) for a high-paid game-changing WR/return specialist who was a terrible locker room disaster.
In the Rashid Shaheed trade, Schneider traded a 4th and a 5th to get a WR/return specialist who was already well-known by the OC.
And Shaheed has had far more impact on this season than Harvin ever had on the 2013 team.

Kupp was absolutely phenomenal yesterday and a key to the victory. He also had lots of catches against 49ers
But I think he is gone. Continues to get older, won't be room for him.
Making it JSN, Shaheed as key WRs. We re-sign him
He was viewed as a LUXURY when we acquired him considering that we had JSN/Kupp/Tory Horton. He's going to be the forever-example used league-wide as to why a relatively innocuous deadline trade can mean the difference between a SB or not.
