Add your own to the list of things that have stuck out to you so far, big or small.
--Special teams have played a huge role in the outcome of games so far
From the new kickoff rules and long kick returns, to 57 yard chip shot FG's and blocked FG attempts, I've been a bit blown away by how decisive a role special teams have played
--Can you count on Joe Burrows as your franchise QB
I love Joe Burrows as a QB. You could make an argument that he was the MVP last year. In his other healthy year, he led the Bengals to the SB. But that's just it, when he's able to stay on the field. Three season ending injuries pretty much sunk any hope for the Bengals to contend, including this year
--Chiefs demise greatly exaggerated, Mahomes has weapons now
Mahomes can make average receivers look good, and above average receivers look special. But in a few weeks, he'll have a full arsenal to throw to. Their #1 receiver Rice returns, speedster Worthy is back, he already has Smith-Schuster, Hollywood Brown, an emerging talent in Thornton, and, though he's on his last legs, a still effective Kelce. If they get any kind of a running game and their OL is merely above average, they're going to continue to be tough, especially with Spagnola as DC
--Parity rules
With limited practice time and the usual sloppy and injury riddled Sept play, there's not a whole lot of separation between the contenders and pretenders. But it's still hard to ignore how close the, say, middle 24 teams or so are to each other. The Ravens are 1-3, the Steelers could well win the division, the Chargers lose to the lowly Giants, the Texans are 1-3, the Packers lose to the Browns, etc... The on-any-given-Sunday football cliche has been ringing true so far. There are only two undefeated teams left just four weeks into the season
