Barrett's on fire today.....good to see the Sounders go up 2 goals early in Vancouver after the debacle last week in Columbus.

Sigi got the tactics of this game 100% right. Fantastic effort from the lads.

Sounders played extremely sloppy Saturday night. That and a lot of players were ball watching when the pass didn't directly come to them on a dime. They'd watch the ball roll past them without any attempt to collect it. Lousy effort in my opinion. If you're going to play pro soccer then play like it not half-ass it like a lot of players were doing against KC. Just my observation. Not the best effort or result. At least they didn't lose is the only positive.

Smurf - Thanks for keeping the Monster Flag off to the left on Saturday night...
Can you sort it out for tonight too?

This Supporters group (ECS) vs the FO spat is intriguing.

On a side note, the win was decent last night. Quite a few heavy first touches probably cost the Sounders a few more nets, but still three points nonetheless.

Andy Rose is so bad.

I was watching the match last night and took a long ponderous journey as to why Andy Rose is on this club.

Technical skills as a mid: Poor
Touch: Poor
Vision: Poor
Passing: Poor
Shooting: Poor
Workrate: Average
Length: Above average

So length, that's the only thing I could come up with. Rose does poke and get to balls that some mids don't because he's 6'2". But that's it.

I guess he's only 25, so he hasn't quite hit his potential ceiling. But idk, I haven't seen anything in three years that gives me any hope that he's going to turn into anything more than a MLS bench player.

Tell us more...

Apparently...at the away game in Vancouver the FO asked ECS to allow cameras in with the supporter and were refused. Cameras were there anyway and when they got too close they were given the finger. FO asked ECS for the names of offending fans so they could be banned. ECS refused.

Consequently there is a kerfuffle regarding who owns what. Sounders feel they have the right to use ECS activities such as the "march to the match" as marketing IP for the league. ECS feel the FO does not have the right to use any supporter activities outside the stadium as IP.

Since this is also the de facto MLS thread, let's discuss Orlando FC. You gotta like what their ownership has done. With the public funding for their new stadium tied up in the state legislature, the club decided to purchase the land outright and finance the stadium themselves. They're also increasing the capacity of the design from 20k to 25k.

The Sounders are playing well right now. They've done well in the regular season, playoffs have been a different story. Hopefully that will change this year and they will be as good in the playoffs.

I'm glad Pappa's had a great past couple weeks. 2 beautiful goals. It seemed like this season had been a little quieter thus far from him than towards the end of last season. I'm happy to see he's starting to catch fire again.

He looks to be pretty useful....Looked at the videos and he will definitely add an another dimension to the Sounders game.

Sounders get drawn into the "Group of Death" in CONCACAF Champion's League with Vancouver and Honduran champion Olimpia.

To be fair, it's CONCACAF, there really is no group of death.............and as seahawks1983 pointed out, ask any Sounder what the worst part of this tournament is and they'd tell you the soul sucking travel to 3rd world country facilities in 100 degree heat with 500 people in the stands playing on the worst surfaces this side of a dog track.
