Seattle needs to find a way to resign Walker

I think if they let Walker go in the off-season, this offense is going to take a step backwards. He’s just too damn valuable. Charbs is solid, but I just don’t see him as being the full-time running back and being as successful as they are right now.

I will start this thread someday but I’ve had a theory on this for awhile.

I think he’s a very big part of the plan moving forward but since he’s in a contract year, the staff has intentionally leaned on Charbs to ensure he couldn’t bring padded stats to the negotiating table.

Big time fan of his going back to college, but paying running backs seems to rarely work out. Depends on the money obviously.

Might be a legit franchise tag candidate depending on what we do with everyone else though. Not like Mafe, Bryant, or Woolen are getting it.

OK, who do you have in mind? I know people think that you can get a running back anywhere in the draft but the really really good ones are hard to come by and usually are high-end draft picks.

Sometimes Charbs is the hot hand. Sometimes Walker.

And it’s rarely at the same time.

No sense overpaying for that.

Same here, neither of them have stood out consistently, let's not overreact to a single game.

I agree with you there.

Just that position group has had success in FA with Barkley and Henry doing well with other teams. McCaffrey too.

I just dont put either one of them in that talent level.
My point was paying high dollars for mediocr play at RB doesn’t make sense to me.

That’s the thing, you cannot look at those stats, especially just from one game. Walker has averaged 4.5 yards per car this year and the line is not the best at one blocking. Charbs? 2.8 yards per carry. Could you imagine getting rid of Walker and hoping you get someone in there that’s decent? I can’t and don’t want to imagine watching a game like that.
