Won both in the double header, hard to complain. They've had playoffs wrapped up since Friday, and they were extremely unlikely to be anything BUT the 5.
We wanted to see them heat up a little before playoffs. 6-3 on the Homestand so far. Today means absolutely nothing. I wish they would sit most of the main guys and rest them up for Friday. SO glad BP Marco is pitching today. Then we don't have to see him in the playoffs.

And that, my friends, was a brief demonstration from Julio on what he intends to do in bunches during the playoffs. It's OUTTA THERE!

28 home runs, as a Rookie. Just an incredible talent. He changes the entire team.

Then.............GOODBYE BASEBALL!!!! Mitch. HR Derby already.

No doubt. When he comes back, he's just right back at it. Many players take a while to get their timing back.

Damn, came out loose today. :)

No stress, basically a meaningless game, so just have fun. Hell, even Marco is dealing.

No doubt. Doesn't even sound like BP Marco. Hopefully he goes at least 7
Off to a good start. Couple of quick innings off the top. 24 chucks through 2. Would love if we don't need a lot of bullpen help this game.

And here he is. BP MARCO. I don't trust him even a little bit. He's just not that good, period. SO glad he's pitching today.

Now that the reg season is out of the way you look back and Marco and Flexen actually held down the back of the rotation pretty well.

Imagine this rotation if Paxton wouldn't have been hurt in the first damn game. Of course, maybe they don't go trade for Castillo.
That was last year in 2021. Paxton was signed this year by the Red Sox, but ended up getting hurt again before making a start for them.

Nice way to go out on a bit of a roll. How fitting, going out like so many games this season with Ty going opposite field to bring in the winning run.

Great way to finish off the regular season.

Back to back 90 win seasons. Not too shabby.

Quality starts by Seattle pitchers in 2022:

Robbie Ray 18
Marco Gonzales 17
Luis Castillo 17
Logan Gilbert 16
George Kirby 11
Chris Flexen 9 (Half season)

We had quite a few "Fernandez" games where the starter had a quality start and the offense couldn't score enough to win.
