Here and there

"The Seattle Seahawks are trading second-year offensive tackle Michael Jerrell to the Atlanta Falcons in exchange for a conditional 2027 seventh-round draft pick, according to a report from NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero on Tuesday morning."

And so it begins....

I noticed he wasn’t having the best time vs GM 1-2s. But thought he would stick.

I just posted this in a few different spots. I would've liked to have seen him on the roster, thought he had potential but either the new coaches like someone better or didn't see upside.

This surprises me. Given his athletic profile I thought he would make the team. The Hawks didn't even cut him and try to sign him to the practice squad. Instead they traded him for a bologna sandwich.

Doesn't surprise me at all. The trade kind of does, but not that they have given up on him. He looked like the same guy this offseason/preseason as the guy that they threw in the fire last season. I sure didn't see any growth or benefit from scheme.

A conditional 2027 7th? That's like the equivalent of 12 Jack in the Box dogfood tacos.

I definitely had higher hopes for Jerrell based on flashes last season.

They are no longer two for 99 cents by the way.

This is the inflection point inflation became real to me.

Valid. Those bastards. And they can't really be simulated. Not without a deep frier filled with hydraulic oil. And I'm pretty sure Jack's already bought up all the Alpo made in the 1970s.

Alpo? You're giving Jack in the Crack alot of credit. I always figured it for Dinki-Di.

He's was the 5th best T for the Seahawks in the 2025 preseason games. He might stuck short-term due to the lack of quality Gs on the team but I expected him to be gone once the team made post 53-man roster moves. If they actually get the conditional 7th it'll be a plus.

If Jerell doesn't stick with the Falcons, I suppose he could wind up back on the PS with the Hawks.
Semi-serviceable OLs are always worth at least a ham sandwich and a bag of Doritos in the NFL, for injuries if nothing else.

OL ROY!! Man I haven't heard that in ages. I think so, I remember it in the stores in the early 80's.
Seen Ol Roy in the dogfood section of Walmart just last month. Wasn't free and my dog is picky so didn't get any.

He's still a player with potential. He's shown enough to be on the Seahawks PS, (should the opportunity arise).

I'm wondering if the Falcons traded a conditional pick just so they could show the could demonstrate some intent. I could see them cutting him and trying to add him to their own PS.
