They just won the SBI appreciate depth signings more than the average fan because depth separates the actual playoff teams from the playoff contenders. My issue with their OL process is that they are still doing things the Tom Cable way, where every lineman needs to play every position even if they suck at it.
What we need is a group with 5 players who are good enough at *one* position that they make up our starting OL. When it comes to depth then you can start treating versatility as a bonus because you've already admitted that the backup isn't good enough to start. Unfortunately for 15 years we used linemen who weren't even good at 1 position, and kept pretending that versatility was a virtue.
Or the scouts. What's more ridiculous is fans thinking they know more about football than the front office, or the coaches, or former players.

While the Hawks won the Super Bowl...I don’t trust JS to select a guard. Pay Fries and spend a high pick on someone like Ratledge. Quit looking for cheap band aids that are no different than what you’ve continually had to rip off the wound the last number of years.
Umm... What happened in the last draft? At LG? Do you have short-term memory loss or something?I don’t trust JS to select a guard.
If it's not Anime-guy, it's Rat.This is his thing. Always fishing for attention. Everything the Hawks do sucks. It used to be entertaining, now it's just sad.
Nobody needs to be doing that sort of thing if they don't want to.Some of the original posters from last year should come back and apologize to JS for their takes here. It is also funny seeing posters who must rule their fantasy football and Madden leagues with their takes.
And guess what?? I'm now used to it! (Funny looking back on some of the things said months or years ago when it comes to sports.)A little weird to think of Darnold, Lock, or Milroe in a Seahawk jersey and hoisting the Lombardi, but I'm sure I can get used to it.
Re-signs on a one year deal. Feel like this is hugely under rated. Helped us through the Cross injury big time and can supposedly play RT too if Lucas gets hurt.
Depth is intact
He played better than a lot of teams starters. Weird no one else grabbed himHe looked good in preseason and that carried over into the regular season. This is a good result for the Seahawks and a miss by multiple other teams who needed an upgrade.
