Do many teams actually have a "real" FB these days? When do we get a real fb?
Actually, they kind of do. LBs are common STers on a lot of teams because they are good in traffic and can tackle in space, generally. They usually have a decent size/weight ratio as well, not fast enough to be gunners, of course, but with the size to take down tacklers. May not see many starters on ST, but backups do it a lot.Wish I knew why freakish skills on STs don't always translate into same skill level at full time positions. This guy is a special teams wrecking ball. If he could do the same as a LB he would be an all pro.
I miss the days of Mack Strong...awesome Fullback...I don't think Shaun Alexander would have been as good as he was without Mack...IMHO.When do we get a real fb?
Me too! Mack is one of my all-time faves.I miss the days of Mack Strong...awesome Fullback...I don't think Shaun Alexander would have been as good as he was without Mack...IMHO.
