Yep, every acquisition that doesn't cost a first round pick or mega cap expenditure sucks. This a developmental player that two other teams have helped to develop.

Likely will not even make the team but could be a PS player. He's an interesting addition.

International player born in Italy.

"Pircher was a member of the Lions for the entirety of the 2023 season as a part of the NFL international pathways program. Pircher, an Italian-born player, occupied a roster-exempted spot on the team as offensive line depth".

Is the fat guy with the mask and cape that didn't make the Eagles team after the open trial in 1976 still available? Asking for an anonymous NFL GM based in the Pacific North-West.

This will be Pircher's 4th season with an NFL team. He was with the Rams for 2 years prior to being with the Lions in 2023. He didn't get to play in any of the preseason games when with the Rams. If he was hopeless he would probably have been dropped from the International program by now, but who really knows?

Welp, there’s always 2025 I guess 😂
My friend don’t default to negativity, it’s very early yet. This signing is for a high potential developmental prospect who might eventually be a PS player or better. Better would be a huge bonus from an International Player Pathway player..

if nothing else the player is a BIG highly athletic specimen at a position where size and solid athletic ability pays dividends. To me it’s an interesting developmental acquisition.

Let’s wait to see what the draft brings and how the team builds up the OLine prior to season starting.

Good signing, lets see what he can do in pre-season.

Maybe he can be the next Jordan Mailata who the Eagles drafted in the 7th round in 2018. Pircher is easy to cut if he doesn't show out during the pre-season.

4 years in the league, an international player, now look at the experience versus a North American football player, he just getting to where many guys coming out of college are but against NFL quality guys with NFL coaching, he could pop this year and make the next step up.
