End of 2020 season - "Tempo, tempo, tempo. Run the two minute offense the whole game. Why can't everyone see that that's the key to our success... let the offense run through Russ.

Week 9, 2021 - Offense- near last in TOP. Near last in plays run. But... the O runs through #3. At least we got that much.

lol no we did not, #3 gets 25 passes a game that not running through him. You can see the changes in the offense from game 1 to the last game Wilson played. You can see it from one half to the other. We run update offense for one half than the same old the other. this offense is still not running through Wilson. As long as PC is here it never will. We will get teases, halves but never a whole game.

We are somewhat of an outlier in plays per game in the entire NFL...

https://www.teamrankings.com/nfl/stat/plays-per-game

There is no bigger gap between our 55.2 plays per game compared to the 2nd worst team in the league (Houstan) with 58.7 plays per game.

Odell Beckham Jr. may have provided us with a more consistent offense so we could run about 10 more plays a game like Detroit 64.5...

If that was the case Tyler Lockett and DK Metcalf would most likely still get the same amount of targets, our offense would just be better straight up.

A bit disappointing the Rams get Von Miller and OBJ while we do nothing... Both positions of need and we have more cap space than the Rams...

I'm curious to learn how much the Rams are going to pay him but we could of beat their bid for sure (they have no money!).

We have over 13 million cap space they have like 3...

If we miss the playoffs by 1 game which seems to be our trajectory if we don't beat Green Bay... I wouldn't blame Russell for wanting out. The team did not make the moves to give us a chance this season...

Edit:

We were averaging over 8 plays a game more with Schottenheimer who inexplicably got fired when we put up a bunch of franchise records on offense...

WE ARE AVERAGING MORE PLAYS PER GAME WITH GENO SMITH (LAST 3 GAMES) THAN WE WERE WITH RUSSELL WILSON!

We cannot blame this lack of production on Wilson's injury.

Basically our team is saying that Russell is good enough to carry our team to the playoffs even though approximately 90% of our roster isn't even ranked in the top 32 of their position according to PFF (for example I think Jamal Adams is ranked 52)... If I'm Russell I'd want out, they aren't helping him win this year.
Wide receiver is not a position of need. We have DK, Lockett, Swain, Eskridge, Penny Hart. Injured Von Miller past hist prime for 2 high draft picks are you insane? I mean I was born at night but it wasn't last night. When the Rams lose their ass in the playoffs let me know how it plays out for them with like 2 fifth round picks and no cap lol

He gets 25 passes per game because the offensive play calling is nonsense and HIS offense can't stay on the field.

The logic that says OBJ should have come here or that we should have paid his 7mill contract is the stuff of the fantasy football era we live in.

X player puts up y results, so he has to make us better.

Forget that to actually force him here we would have spent a ransome at a position where we have DK, Lock and Eskridge now coming back, plus Swain.

And also forget that we have a pretty formidable TE duo that we don't use because they don't run routes to the areas Russ likes to throw.

But yeah, go ahead and defend THROWING THAT CASH AT A 3RD WR SPOT THAT WE DONT EVEN USE.

And the same people that claim not getting OBJ is evidence the FO is lost would be the same people claiming the same this offsason because we couldn't bolster our CB, DL or OL positions because we were too light in cash.

And for all the OBJ fans, do you think he'd be cool with getting 4 looks a game... maybe 6? And if he gets more, do you think DK would be fine with his looks being reduced? The answer in both cases is hell no. The only guy who woukd take it in stride woukd be Lockette. So yeah, go ahead and take opportunities away from the guy with which Russ has the best connection... on the chance that OBJ could be better...

I got a better idea. And it's free and comes with zero risk. LEARN HOW TO USE THE WEAPONS YOU HAVE NOW BEFORE YOU CRY THAT SOMEONE ELSE CAN MAKE YOU BETTER. How about getting the ball to Everett more than twice a game. The dude is a monster and if they'd use him would force defenses to pick between being bludgeoned by Dk or a freak TE. And that says nothing about Dissly.

smh...

And all the blaming the defense for offenses struggles is ridiculous.

WE ARE LAST IN 3RD DOWN CONVERSIONS. 32 OUT OF 32. NOBODY TO LOOK DOWN ON.

Hmmm. Could that be why we don't have as many offensive plays run. No wait. Actually we lead the league in 'offensive ' plays. And most of that has come on Mr Wilson's 'uptempo', 'bombs away', hype train.

In part it is the offensive play calling , in part it is penalties and in part it is no rhythm due to not being on the filed while the defense gives up long drive after long drive after long drive.

Same could be said about the defense all this blaming the offense for their in ability to get off the field on 3rd down were we are bottom 5.

The real reality it is the HC fault for not playing systems that maximize the talent we have.

Last I checked, the defense isn't on the field involved in the 3rd down offense. 31st in the league 3rd down conversion = your offense not on the field.

The blame toward the offense was for not being balanced when they COULD have been. That was a choice. They chose to not use the TE. They chose to not run as much as they could have.

The defense's struggles were now obviously proven to be a matter of trying to scheme to cover weakness in the secondary. They struggled until they got the best fit. AGAIN. obvious now given their performance game to game and play to play of late. And I'm commenting on plain as day schematic improvement. Something that's easy to see when you take off the 'Pete is satan' glasses.

And through thebfirst qtr in GB , again the defense is playing well, holding GB in check. Do they suck?
And what is the offense doing?

Russell Wilson led the league in 3 and outs, inaccuracy and poor decisions. You want more plays you need to start hitting open receivers and moving the chains. Wilson just became incapable of sustaining drives. .... end of story
