So entering Week 17.. the Seahawks are currently 2nd overall (17.9 PPG) in scoring defense. The Patriots are currently in 1st and have allowed 33 less points this season than the Seahawks.

For the Seahawks to win their 5th straight scoring title on defense, they would have to beat the 49ers, essentially 34-0 and hope the Dolphins hang 33+ on the Patriots in their finale.

So its very possible it will NOT happen.. but in the spirit of one of the timeless cinematic classics...

Just FYI Hawks score doesnt matter. If we win 2-0 but NE gives up 34 we win the title.

That makes the Seahawks the 1st overall scoring defense in the NFC.

I like our chances. Defense wins championships.

Not having Earl Thomas has definitely hurt they're chances the last couple of weeks, I'm optimistic but won't be surprised if it just doesn't happen this year.

Jay ajayi is a beast and phins have a pretty good run game and o line. I could see them running all over the pats.

I will laugh my ass off if the Phins hang a 40-burger on the Pats and the Seahawks hold the 9ers to 6 points.

This is somewhat surprising to me because NE doesn't actually have a very good defense. They got rid of Collins mid-season and got worse.

I'm sure the drop from 1/2 has a good deal to do with the fact that they were on the field for most of the year with the stagnant offense.

I'd be interested to see which defenses have played the most snaps this year. I seems like sure bet that the Seahawks would be in the top 5, and i'd guess NE D would be in the bottom.

This also tells me that team defense is more about the entire team than just the defense. We can credit beastmode and the running game for soaking the clock in past years.

After losing to us they have gone 6-0 beating

49ers
Jets
Rams
Ravens
Broncos
Jets

No wonder they dont allow that many points those teams might all be some of the worst offenses in the entire nfl
