One source says #Bears offering $8.5 million per year for Michael Bennett and #Seahawks at $8 million annually. That is word around league.
Well, considering Illinois has a 5% income tax, the difference is basically minimal ($75,000).

Not that simply but close enough- game checks are based on where the game is played so even Seahawk game checks will be taxed for away games based on the state of where the game is played.
Signing bonus is tied to the team
Tweets are saying Bennett re-signing with Seattle announcement could come today.kidhawk":1k1zlo19 said:Well Bennett's agent has heard offers from other teams, the question now is whether any are close enough to entice him into waiting until tomorrow to visit facilities etc. or if he ends up signing with the Seahawks today.

I'll be first in line and 8/32 at 4 years is outstanding.jblaze":mmccjb9j said:A lot of people will have a lot of crow to eat after Bennett re-signs. A lot of emotional and illogical responses, guy deserves to get paid and he took a look outside but apparently is leaning heavily towards coming back.
It's a business and we're lucky that JS recognizes his value and is offering 8m/yr. Another solid front office move!
I would argue 8m/yr is good value for him also.
