Brian Nemhauser also decent

I find Hawkblogger to be insufferable. He's always asking the most "look at me, I'm smart" type questions at the press conferences, and MM continues to brush him off and give very terse answers but Brian will not take the hint.

Coach Mike def. has a grumpy side. And I love it. Ask stupid questions, be prepared for "the tone"

Shoot, he does it to loudmouth Mike Salk every week on their show.

I've never been a fan. The final straw for me was this past offseason. He didn't like picking Zabel where we did, and he had a meltdown when we traded Geno. All I can say is, I'm glad he's not our GM.
Yeah he was one of a few who melted down with the Geno trade along with Mattybrown, cigarthoughts, Griff etc. They were so arrogant with their takes on Geno that if you didn't agree you didn't know ball. Well we now know they were wildly wrong. Not liking the Zabel pick was goofy too.

I used to watch just because I try to support Seahawk channels but haven't since the Geno stuff really.

These are behind paywalls, but for me, Bob Condotta at the Seattle Times and Michael-Shawn Dugar at the Athletic do the best job of covering the Seahawks. Good reporting with access to coaches and players, not opinions.

I like seeing what's going on around the league, so I also listen to NFL radio on Sirius XM. Some very good coverage there. I also like Chris Simms who has a program on Sirius XM.

Matty and Griff are the best Seahawks Youtubers IMO, they know the X's and O's and understand the playbook at a professional level, their videos are usually pretty long but they breakdown film on the All-22 better than anyone I've seen
I couldn't disagree more. They've been more wrong than almost any Seahawks youtuber has been. They were sure losing Pete would be a disaster when everyone else was saying Pete was washed. Who was right? Not those 2. They were sure Geno was a top 7 QB and we were screwed if we let him go. Who was right? Not them again. The last straw was then week after week, year after year saying the bad defense wasn't Pete's fault, he's just as innovative as anyone else etc only to have Macdonald come in with the same personnel and instantly turn the unit around.

If they're such film experts how were they so wrong on both of these?

Griff does do some cool stuff too and he's obviously not always wrong and I've learned some cool stuff from him but his constant talking down to people who disagreed with him on this just grew old. I get some of it as it probably gets tiring having a ton of people trolling you about it but he played a role too.

I'm also a little biased because a few ex-posters thought these two were gospel and a lot of that arrogance trickled down into this group which probably isn't fair to them in some ways.

@Boycie what are your thoughts on Matty? lol

I thought I'd watched most of the Seahawks YouTubers but never came across them for some reason. But agreed, it should have been obvious to everyone that end-state Carroll was at the root of the problem, but I guess there were still a few that were sure we couldn't replace his "culture". And Geno's 2023 stats were aggressively mediocre, and he had too many turnovers in 2024...so that change needed to happen as well. I'm not sure if they have, but I think the best YouTubers are the ones who say "I was wrong about...", "I didn't see xyz coming...", etc. The ones who double-down or make excuses are insufferable.

No disagreement on his persona, but for info he's able to get decent quality guests sometimes and does provide insider nuggets once in a while.

He's everywhere because he puts in the work, posting videos daily. Does his research, conducts good interviews, asks insightful questions, offers decent analysis. Plus he's earned his press credentials unlike many other Youtubers who are just dudes on the internet.

I still like that bloke Staton. I know some here can't stand him, but I usually find myself agreeing with his takes. Also, he doesn't feel the need to put out 5 videos a day.

He has been 100x more right than the band of dude who killed him and no longer are a part of this site. The crushed the two film guys on almost every take too which I think hurt some feelings.

I know he can be a little abrasive or whatever but he’s been really good imo

There’s a lot of good Seahawks podcasters. He is not one of them.

Dan viens
Rob staton
Bryce coutts
Brian nemhauser
Jeff simmons
Brandon cain

The list goes on and on
I actually like Brendon and his numbers show many others do too. Everyone of these have their own approach. His thing is data and news. Others do play break downs. I find him less of a homer than Viens and Coutts. Cain is okay and Nemhauser was pretty good but feel he's become a bit arrogant. Can't stand Staton. Guy is nuts. Contrarian trying to get clicks with his hot takes.
