Lots of Saints fans requesting membership here since last nights game so would imagine they will be in here claiming to be Kings of the World in the next few days.

I'm sure they remember their last trip here not so fondly and will be wanting some revenge for that. But I have confidence in our guys at home even tho being off a week. The Hawks have always been crummy after the break but this year they have broken all kinds of bad deals so am sure they will be ready to play on all cylinders for that game with such a big part of home field advantage.

I'm not one to say bad things about many teams and will not do that with Nawrlins.

Great point about us being stale after the breaks. I'm hoping this time will be different (with so much at stake). Safe to say those past teams were not as good as this team, so I hope that matters, though we looked rusty the Sun following our most recent Thursday game.

I suspect the presence of Harvin on the practice field is going to stoke the fire. I don't necessarily mean that as a compliment to Harvin. I believe Harvin's presence will push Tate to take things up a notch and I believe his beloved teammates are going to do the same in support. I am going to keep a close eye on the dynamics between Tate and Harvin. There's only two ways this can play out. Fingers crossed and I'm hoping for the best, but won't be shocked if things get dicey. The main thing is we keep winning. I like that saying "winning is a good deodorant".

Hope you and the Mrs are better than well, sir.

Saints vs Panthers will be flexed to SNF most likely

primetime and in the dome. That's like an automatic 3+ TDs from Brees

The Rams beat the Saints with A J. Feeley at QB a couple years ago. Rams were 14 point underdogs for a damn good reason and they won.

The Saints are NOT a good road team.

With Payton and Brees, we're something like 10-3 in December road games

over the years I'd say we are a great team at home and a solid team on the road

I posted in the NO/ATL thread that I wouldn't be surprised if New Orleans loses out.

damn, are you serious???

Brees and Payton are like 50-10 since 2009, and we're gonna lose 5 straight??

no respect haha

Most in here are realistic, some respectful. Ivotuk's point is not made in prejudice. Think about it, and I too mean no disrespect. Brees looked not quite himself last night. Possibly in part from playing a tough 9er D. That 9er D won't compare to what we will throw at you at the Clink (no chest beating here, just dialing you in). So, you likely depart the Clink beaten, battered and bruised with Carolina salivating. They know teams lose AFTER playing us.

The Carolina D is violent. Now, after facing 3 ferocious Ds in 4 weeks, you have to travel to STL. That STL defense scares me more than both Carolina and SF. All 3 of us get to the QB and get players carted. By this time, you should be physically shot and mentally fatigued, injury and self doubt diminishing your hopes. I believe this is the criteria Ivotuk used in making that statement. I doubt any perceived disrespect was intentional. We have no issue with you guys. Hell, you gave us the greatest highlight run in NFL history. Don't think that's not appreciated.

Careful now, it's getting to be Friday late afternoon/evening and the alcohol will be flowing with many of us fans here, you have been warned.

LOL. I think they voted it #2 all time which was total BS. The #1 I believe went to a Steve Young run.. not even close but Young was a 9er, Lynch, a lowly Hawk. There was an Earl Campbell run, I think against the Rams, that should be 2nd to Lynch's. Good luck with the rest of your season. I want our QB to pay very close attention to yours.

One thing that will be ineresting to see is the "jugs machine" effect from Brees, and how the LOB handles that. For the most part, they won't be able to read his eyes or how he has his shoulders positioned. Not that they haven't seen this in practice from for Russ, but this will be an actual game situation against a team they don't know all that well. I believe this is the first time they've faced a 'shorty' all season. Same goes for the DL and LB corp. They wont know for sure where Brees is at, when they pass rush, until they break through.

A friend and I were discussing this this morning. Running QBs, or QBs that run, give all teams problems. We are no exception. Brees rolls out nicely and is accurate when he does, but he won't be rushing if avoidable. That said, I agree regarding Cam. Further, I won't be surprised if Harbaugh has numbnuts doing a ton of RO against us in SF. As he should. Kaep is basically Cam with his brains kicked out. Now that Cam seems to get it, he is scary, hard to bring down and worse, taking what the D gives him. I think he's a problem and Kaep should be too...until he's put on IR.

I think Cam is staring to mature a bit (a late bloomer) and understand you can't overpower people in the NFL. You have to take what the defense gives you and trust your teammates to do their job. Once that happens, you become very powerful in the scheme and difficult to control as you are reacting and adjusting to opportunities instead of trying to force situations and receptions.

Totally agree. I never liked "Superman" but I'm warming up to him. You hate to see talent like his wasted, even though he's the enemy. Now how about that bug eyed, chicken neck, goat raping Kaeperneck? I never thought I'd see the day I felt our team could be threatened by Newton. Will we one day say the same for Kaep?

I think the Panthers defense worries me. We've been able to hold the guy in check, and I still think we can. Brees....he can torch anyone. Plus @NO would be tough. We need HFA.
