Let’s be honest if it wasn’t for Wilson forcing his way out and the Bronco’s getting desperate for a QB after Rodgers wanting to stay in GB the trade never happens
I think Schneider had ideas about life after Wilson before this and Pete was who couldn't let go. Plus, saying 'it wouldn't have happened if everything was completely different' is accurate but... so? The results of what he did with the circumstances are what we're grading him on.Let’s be honest if it wasn’t for Wilson forcing his way out and the Bronco’s getting desperate for a QB after Rodgers wanting to stay in GB the trade never happens
Wilson wanted out because he was getting outplayed by Geno and his teammates wanted Smith at quarterback. The Commanders offered a similar haulI think Schneider had ideas about life after Wilson before this and Pete was who couldn't let go. Yeah, and if my sister had a d**k she'd be my brother. Is it too much to just enjoy how well John and his staff performed in the last year?Let’s be honest if it wasn’t for Wilson forcing his way out and the Bronco’s getting desperate for a QB after Rodgers wanting to stay in GB the trade never happens
If you consider how they went out and actively recruited Geno to come back, you kind of have to wonder if they told him what was going down before he took the job. Even before we found out Lock was included, Geno would have had the inside track to win the starter job just because he was here and fairly well intrenched on the team. "Hey Geno, we're gonna be moving Russ out. You'll be first in line in camp to be the starter. Wanna play with us?"I think Schneider had ideas about life after Wilson before this and Pete was who couldn't let go. Wilson didn't force his way out. He gave the Hawks a choice, Pete or Russ. Jon chose Pete.* It was a good decision, and worthy of Exec of the Year.Let’s be honest if it wasn’t for Wilson forcing his way out and the Bronco’s getting desperate for a QB after Rodgers wanting to stay in GB the trade never happens
If "If" was a fifth of Hennessey, we'd ALL be drunk.Let’s be honest if it wasn’t for Wilson forcing his way out and the Bronco’s getting desperate for a QB after Rodgers wanting to stay in GB the trade never happens
Lynch also traded up for guys like Ruben Foster and Trey Lance (3 firsts and a third) who might not amount to much. He also drafted Dante Pettis, Jalen Hurd and traded away Buckner for the 13 pick who is a bust. Drafting Bosa was a no brainer. Fred Warner was a good hit for him though definitely. Kittle was a good hit for him but Schneider has done more with less and it’s starting to pay dividends-- I believe the Hawks, and most of the rest of the league, have been fully aware of the Icon's limitations for a few years. They tried twice to move him in the past, and couldn't get any takers at the price tag. Even in Denver, he was the second choice after Rodgers. But with a new coach and new Ownership, they panicked a little trying to make a splash. Commanders have awful ownership as well.
-- I said it was a fleece then, and that was before we knew that we would hit on so many of the 2022 picks. Woolen is literally superstar talent, and K9 isn't far behind.
-- The only competition I can think of is Lynch in SF. I think he slow played the Jimmy G thing so SF would be his best option. The trade for McCaffery, the last pick being a solid QB, the CB they signed from KC. Those have all ben solid moves. I just still think they are very secondary to what Schneider has done.

It’s called executive of the YEAR , not the last five years. Lynch will be evaluated on the trade for CMC , the free agent additions of charvarious ward, Gipson , Jimmy g and others and a draft that included Purdy and Burford, Jordan mason. Also the overall record of the team.Lynch also traded up for guys like Ruben Foster and Trey Lance (3 firsts and a third) who might not amount to much. Great, so he shouldn't have (and wasn't) been considered the year he traded for Adams.Absolutely not. After the disastrous Jamal Adams trade, this trade was a make up for that one.
He constructed one of the worst front 7s in the league. He is an average GM at best with a poor eye for D line talent
