I think Emmanwori deserved it too, but I can't complain too much about this. Sanders was the first rookie QB this year to have a 300+ yard passing day. 14 weeks into the season, that's pretty impressive considering Ward and Dart have been starting much of the year. I think this was a little bit of acknowledgement that he may be better than his 5 round pick would indicate. I agree a historic day should trump a really good day.....but let's not pretend he didn't have a really good day.

It just pisses me off. Emmanwori was record setting and he didn’t get it because his daddy wasn’t Deon Sanders. End of rant.
Weekly awards don't mean anything. As long as he stays healthy we have an extremely productive star.

Emmanwori matched Williams record from last year as the only player with a sack, pick, and blocked fg in a game or something along those lines. That's historic for a rookie

I'm not taking anything away from Sanders, the kid had a game for a rookie QB irregardless of the opponent, But. Nick had the better game and was a force for the best defense in the nfl. but, as seahawks fan I'm not surprised at all about this it's basically business as norm here in south alaska...

364 yards with 3 TDs and 1 INT is "utter garbage" to you?

Media coverage and being a QB I'm sure played into it, but let's not pretend he was somehow terrible.
He was playing against one of the worst teams in the NFL. He puts those stats against the Texans....then yes, he would deserve it.

PFF gave their 'Rookie of the week' award to:

TE Harold Fannin Jr., Cleveland Browns

In what has been a tough season for the Browns, their rookie draft class has been a reason for optimism. Third-round pick Fannin Jr. delivered the best game of his NFL career to date, earning a 90.3 PFF receiving grade and averaging 2.85 yards per route run, both single-game career highs.

As someone stated, Mr. Sanders will be watching the Hawks in the playoffs in front of his 4K TV while having his Yes-Man video-tape him watching.
