No, I think the argument will be that he did not have 4 TDs, 325yds in the air and 50yds on the ground against the Pats solid defense, and thus is mediocre at best.

What a ******* redemption arc for Sam. Couldn't be more proud and happy for him and for us. He's a Seahawk legend forever

They still don't give him credit, Mina Kine said she didn't want to talk about Darnold since the game was won by the defense like they had done all year. She is a person that should be eating crow, kind of pisses me off in a few ways. At least admit you were wrong and give the man credit for doing what he did, moved the chains when he had to.

And didn't turn the ball over. Not even one INT. Didn't fumble when sacked, and avoided several other almost sure-thing sacks. He was pretty mobile in the pocket.

As inaccurate as he was today, what I've grown to appreciate about Sam that I haven't mentioned until now, is how he evades sacks with some really minimalistic pocket movement. Little jukes, which is really all you need. Unlike certain other Super Bowl-winning Seahawks quarterbacks who could only evade pressure by running twenty yards laterally.

Sam played great. had he hit on some of the throws a bit better, we are talking about an all time blowout.
Completely agree. Patriots DBs made some outstanding plays on balls that could have been catches. Also there were some uncharacteristic drops where Sam delivered good passes. He was much closer to being MVP of this game than what some people realize (or are giving him credit for). Helluva game by Sam against a really good defense.

Still waiting, Biscuit Boy.
SAM DARNOLD IS A SUPER BOWL CHAMPION.
I doubt you'll even acknowledge it.
He'll never appear around here again.

'Cause he'll have to acknowledge that he now lives in a world where Sam "Marlboro Man" Darnold is A F**KING SUPERBOWL CHAMPION, BAYBEEEE!!!

He is also the more likeable SuperBowl QB, imo.

How nice of you to actually legit compliment him this time.

Instead of the "staying out of the way" nonsense.

And yeah, he was pretty masterful in what he did here.

And that is a testament to his vast experience as a QB who has played in very muddy pockets throughout his career.

I'm going to say that Christian Gonzalez played the game of his life for the Pats in this one. He may have prevented two TDs from happening.

I underestimated him when I said that Stingley and Lassiter were better.

I think he may be better.

Either that, or he just had the game of his life and this won't happen again in the future.

Considering New Englands interior rush was there all game for them, he had guys hanging off him, escaping them and then when he did get to launch Gonzalez made highlight real plays, three times he was there just in time to swat a catch away that would have been a score or huge gain.

I give the Patriots defense a lot of credit, they played their asses off, we had more juice to work with and were patient, we had a dumpster fire QB by everyones standards play within the offense and what was given, a RB that took and made plays when we had to have them. Special teams Myer and Dickson both excelling. Please don't tell me Kickers and Punters are a dime a dozen, our guys are the top of the heap.
