I'm pretty sure that at Sam's hall of fame induction ceremony, there'll be pundits saying "he won 4 super bowls but he never really proved himself".

(Before anyone starts, I'm making a funny, not predicting a HOF career for Sam.)

You're right, it's more Justin Jefferson, Jordan Addison and TJ Hockenson that would have made the Vikings offense hum with Sam.

Here's a stat that bodes well since the Hawks are the one seed

Sam turnover splits:
Home: 5 picks 5 fumbles lost
Road: 9 picks 1 fumble lost

I didn't see the home game vs Arizona where he lost but the others once were getting stripped by the pass rusher. If the line can protect him, that should take care of the fumbles, and he's less likely to throw picks at home too.

Not sure who "we" is or who's telling you. So far he has pretty much done exactly what he did last year with Minnesota, so we will see how he performs in the playoffs. Like I said previously the lack of offense isn't just on Darnold but a lot of it is. He's up there on turnovers, both INTs and fumbles. So hopefully we dont see a repeat of his playoff performance last year.

There sure is a lot of criticism and pessimism for a player who - despite his turnovers - has helped get us to 14 wins, a divisional championship and the #1 seed in the NFC.

Not really, just want to see him not shit the bed, win atleast one playoff game because of his abilities. I wouldn't expect anything less from another QB.

If all we need is for Sam to play mistake free football and not turn the ball over how is that any different than what we require from our QB the last 2 teams we were the #1 seed? It was good enough then, imo it can be good enough now.

Why would a team that went 14-2 get rid of they're QB? Think about.

They had a young guy on the squad...JJ McCarthy, and he was never going to fly in a cage. They made a personnel decision, and screwed it up.
