Probably not going to be popular opinion but 13 points 1 TD against the most banged up D in the league. Sorry not impressed. Going to need more than that to make a run.

I hear you. I too thought that was the only wart in an otherwise DOMINANT performance. They really should have put up 30+ on that defense however sometimes games have a way to play out as they will. The running game was fantastic, the defense was LOB level dominant.

Sometimes we just need Sam to be a game manager and I do not mean that as a slight in the least.

We should have put up more points for sure, I will give our kicker a pass however, kicking in that stadium has been an issue since it was built. Wind patterns are tricky and even his kickoff sailed. I posted in game day thread, that goal line pass that as fans we thought was wide open to Charbs looking at it, Darnold was still dropping and it is a timing thing, also looking at it, his line of site could have been obscured as well. Lots going on in a finite time span. I think he is also living the don't take a chance and turn it over cycle in his head. Don't give them a chance.

A Careful Sam Darnold now with the Running game rolling and the Defense dominating, is what is needed to go all the way.

He can now PICK HIS SPOTS in making big throws instead of trying to make big throws all the time.

I bet you probably think "oh my god..I wish Geno was here. waaah waaaah" or something, right?
You're hilarious, Darnold is Geno with red hair and freckles. Only thing keeping the Hawks where they are is the D and the kicker.

Darnold was 14-2 last year, how did he do under pressure in the playoffs?

If Darnold wins a playoff game I will, give him props. But until then he is still a backup QB that chokes under pressure.

And don't label tonight's game as a "pressure game" Darnold was never under pressure the D kept him on the field and still only managed 1 TD and 2 FGs.

Agree and that got the job done tonight. The regular season is over, no one cares about any teams record its all 0-0 win or go home.

If the offense doesn't pick it up it may be over quick. Whomever is left won't have a banged up D.

Back up QB's don't go 24 - 3 with two teams in consecutive years, he may have flaws of trying to force things at times or get bad foot placement when he throws, things he has stated to work on consistently. Brady, Manning, Wilson, Farve all had flaws in their games, it's working thru them or offsetting them that made them successful. Darnold is playing in that company right now.

Says the guy who just got here in 2025. I probably have socks older than you.

To me #1 means jack if you can't get to the OWL. I don't like Darnold, think hes a choker and until he proves me wrong my opinion won't change.

You do you.

Why would a team that went 14-2 get rid of they're QB? Think about.

He was a one year signing, they drafted the savior in McCarthy, resigning him would have cost more then they were willing to pay as a back up with their thinking. Looking forward it went all wrong for them. But very right for us.

I’m not quite sure why you have such a hard on for hating on our quarterback especially after such a great victory that we all just want to celebrate. He may not be perfect but what quarterback is?

Sure he has elements of his game that he needs to improve and he would be the first to admit as much, but to post such pessimistic rhetoric when it’s such a celebratory night just seems a bit trolly to me.
