This is honestly one of the worst drives I’ve ever seen. Absolutely 0 sense of urgency

Any respect I had for Sam is now gone. Never seen a more gutless QB play for the Seahawks, even in preseason.

He deserves every bit of crap that gets flung at him. And this offensive coaching staff isn't far behind. Bunch of p*ssies.

That was a terrible two minute drill. They were walking back to the line.

Worst drive I’ve ever seen. Not even kidding. We needed a PI to even give our kicker a sliver of a chance. Wasted so much time.

Darnold does not pass the eye test. Draft a QB or hope Milroe is your guy.

The clock management was very poorly run. The urgency was not there and they let at least two plays run off the clock. Hopefully now that they experienced it, maybe next time they run it better

Folks, you aren't going to get a quarterback smart enough to run the offense at NFL speed as a free agent on what's basically a two-year, $65M deal.
Darnold is a pretty good value considering how the Seahawks got him and how much he costs for this season and next season. He's not a top QB, and he was never going to be one, but he doesn't cost nearly as much as one either. As long as the front office continues to be realistic about what they've got (i.e., no long-term extensions at top-QB money, actively working on multiple potential succession plans at QB, and no, Milroe is not one of them), I am perfectly happy with the Seahawks keeping him through 2026.

If you buy a Honda Civic, it'll do really well at the things it's made to do well. And you really shouldn't get mad at it for not accelerating as fast as a Ferrari or not having as large a towing and hauling capacity as a giant three-parking-space truck. The Civic will also cost you a lot less than those other vehicles.

Yeah but a Civic is not gonna leave you stranded when you are in a jam!! 🤪

Right, but counting on Darnold to win big games or to be a franchise QB is like trying to use your Civic for a polar expedition, or to win a Formula-1 race, or to haul several tons of cargo. And if you do that kind of crap, your Civic absolutely will leave you stranded in a jam.

I was upset when Darnold was signed, but it's worked out better than I expected. And as long as the team is realistic about what it's got (no extensions at or near top-QB money, actively working on multiple potential QB succession plans), I think the Seahawks should keep Darnold for 2026, then thank him and send him on his way in 2027. As long as you recognize he's got limitations, he's still providing good value on his current contract.

The punt was absolute killer. I mean, come on. That was almost a miracle punt given the circumstance.

But they WERE slow getting plays off. Probably about ten seconds slow total. We should have had at least one more play on that drive which could have made all the difference.

But you live and you learn and you move on forward.
