Folks, you aren't going to get a quarterback smart enough to run the offense at NFL speed as a free agent on what's basically a two-year, $65M deal.
Darnold is a pretty good value considering how the Seahawks got him and how much he costs for this season and next season. He's not a top QB, and he was never going to be one, but he doesn't cost nearly as much as one either. As long as the front office continues to be realistic about what they've got (i.e., no long-term extensions at top-QB money, actively working on multiple potential succession plans at QB, and no, Milroe is not one of them), I am perfectly happy with the Seahawks keeping him through 2026.
If you buy a Honda Civic, it'll do really well at the things it's made to do well. And you really shouldn't get mad at it for not accelerating as fast as a Ferrari or not having as large a towing and hauling capacity as a giant three-parking-space truck. The Civic will also cost you a lot less than those other vehicles.
