Of course the season is young.
Darnold is now at Minnesota in his 7th year and he's looking very tight and solid in his decision making and throws.
We'll see how he does this year. I don't follow him closely nor care.
But my point is that the QB position is the hardest to predict when drafting, especially high picks. Some QBs needs time to develop their potential.
The top picks almost always go to the worst teams and we know they have below average O-lines and WRs in most cases.
And it depends on the quality on the coach team.
With time, some QBs develop their mental ability. Darnold? Not everyone just jumps into the NFL like a duck out of water like CJ Stroud....Stroud is like a duck out of water with his mental processing.
Again as I said, it's early in the season, but if Darnold blossoms this year it shows that the Quarterback position is a mysterious one that we cannot predict easily.
