What same thing?

That the Darnold trade doesn't make sense unless you dramaticly improve the OLine. His delta is less than Genos as far as production in a clean pocket and production under pressure. However he was the best available option this season, so it was a good move.

Let's be real here, he had a great season last year, but he has had an extremely subpar career the 6 years 5 teams prior to that.

For what it's worth, I think he's talented, and I think he could be good here if the seahawks give him some real protection and a run game. If he's behind what we put out there last season, he won't last the season. He holds the ball too long, he has had a fumble problem since college. He has a good arm, he can run if needed, but he crumbles under real pressure, and that's just the facts.

I hope it works out, I hope the seahawks give this man what he needs to succeed. I will remain cautiously optimistic.

I can’t tell if this is sarcastic, because those 3 were all over the map in terms of clutchness.

Hasslebeck from I remember was sometimes clutch. Inconsistent in that regard but still pretty good

Wilson was usually clutch and would come through when you needed him.

Geno was usually mister anti-clutch and would shit the bed in the biggest moments
Geno would shit the bed in clutch moments? That's hilarious, and an absolute falsehood.

Hawkblogger was saying the Vikings' o-line is awfully bad as well.
I've heard him say that, and I've also heard from other sources that their line was 7-11 range.

You don't win 14 games with a shitty oline. It was average to above average.

110.5M?
It's really a two year 55M deal with 37.5M in year one. Year two is guaranteed at 18M, that means if it doesn't work you can move on in 2026 for 18M in dead $.
Sounds like Darnold wanted to reunite with Kubiak and is betting on himself to outperform this contract.
Two positives ++.

Remind me again Geno's age & how much he turned down to stay here?

Beautiful signing by Schneider. Darnold is a huge upgrade over Geno and got him on a good deal. Now we have the draft stock and flexibility to attack free agency with vigor and draft a guy like Emeka Egbuka to fit opposite of JSN

Yep. It's a trip how often the original reports are not even close to the REAL numbers. I don't blame the people who are reporting it first, just doing their jobs. But this has happened so many times. 3 years, 110. It's not even close to that.

I recall Geno taking 30-yard sacks and throwing bad picks directly to the other teams guys in critical moments. Or - the ever-popular intentional grounding calls.
Yeah Geno never had the head for the position and has some of the worst tendencies I’ve ever seen in the history of organized football. It isn’t his arm it’s everything else. Raider fans will find out about 3 games into the season

Yep. Good luck against teams over .500. And good luck in the Red Zone.

Nope, Geno isn't clutch at all. Never was, never will be.
Truth, I can't remember one time when he lifted the team on his shoulders and willed them to victory. He doesn't have the IT factor. I remember Kreig, Zorn, Matt Hasselbeck, and Wilson doing it. I don't see why PC would choose him to lead Vegas. There are better QB's long term he could have chosen.
