McCarthy may not play this Sunday if he can't clear concussion protocols in time. Either way. I'm hoping our boy lights them up.

To me, this game shows whether SDarnold is a shrinking violet or it's that McVay has a defensive answer to his tendencies.

Sure, it is obviously a combination. ...and to some degree it doesn't really matter. But, Sam's worst 2 games (yes, you could argue the Lions too) over 2 seasons have been v McVays Rams. He's had some bad moments in other games, but those 2 stick out to me. They're also, probably/arguably the 2 biggest games he's been in over the past 2 seasons...or maybe most stressful.

McVay and his D turned a very capable BMayfield completely off last night. We know McVay always has a gameplan that works. So...is it mostly McVay or mostly SDarnold?

I'd guess SDarnold is feeling a lot of pressure this week too. If he throws 3 picks and Seahawks win by 2pts , v 4-7 Vikings, I honestly think that's a pretty big problem. If he's not the reason the Seahawks drop in power rankings 8 days from now, it might mean his jitters are more about the Rams than him.

They know him. They know his tendencies, strengths, weaknesses..., but it should be a convincing win. How the game unfolds might indicate a lot about SDarnold's longevity and upside.

I think you're reading too much into one game.

Vikings game talk now.
Good luck, Max. That smell is the blood in the water. I was really hoping McCarthy would play.
Feels like a 6 sack game on Sunday. Also, we need Reek to care on Sunday, like a lot. Justin Jefferson will eat his lunch if he doesn't play at the top of his game.

Jefferson can't throw it to himself

Play good and win. That's all I really care about in the end. But...yeah...you'd *think* it would be a little extra special for Sam to light up the Vikes. On the other hand, you'd think the Vikes wouldn't want Sam to light them up either. LOL It's definitely a subplot. Love that Jefferson thing above.

This should be a very interesting game.

Brian Flores D is good (and it was this very same type of "D" in 2020 that caused Sam to utter "I see ghosts" on TV).

Fast-forward to today and I am going to go out on a limb and say that this won't be the case this time around as I think he will handle Flores D (giggity-giggity) very well. I mean he did face off against it in practice all of last season, you know?

Sam won't be surprised by anything that Vikings D will throw at him.

As far as Brosmer goes, I think he gets manhandled. Though the thing I don't like about these unknown QBs is that they can surprise and be absolute pains in the ass when you least expect them to.

That said, however, Seahawks take this game and win comfortably (for a change).

Vikings 13

Welcome back, grasshopper. Missed your dialogue after Sam stunk it up in the Lambs game 😉
Dude....that game hurt my soul, man.

This win against the Titans was a very necessary balm to it.

But it's only a bandaid (really) as the real cure comes in Week 16 if he can bounce back and find a way to beat them.
