What else would EJIV say, if he speaks out against the QB he will divide the locker room. What I hate is when QBs come out and say this loss was on me. Ok, now what? It's on you but you are still the QB. Can you tell I'm frustrated?

Geno Smith would say the same thing after every loss last year....

"Accountability" is the most overrated word in Sports... and only Fans care about it.

Sam's our guy. It's not Locke or Milroe now. We have no Dart waiting in the wings. The draft's a total crapshoot next spring at the QB position. Is there any established vet QB who's clearly better that's a realistic possibility for us to obtain next off season?

You can piss and moan all you want about him, but what's the alternative? Right now, our best bet is to build a great team around him, give him the support he needs, and hope he can get us to where we want to go.

He’s never gonna live that down. And the way he played today doesn’t look like he’s gonna live it down anytime soon.

He lives that down by improving and playing better the next chances he gets

If he doesn’t, the rap stays with him and he’ll likely eventually be out of the league/backup

After this, one has to consider that it’s real.

Not Eeyoring here. We’re 7-3.

But, was this why Minnesota let him go? The argument could be made…

Again….We’re going to bounce back but, after a 4 int game…there’s concern. The nature of some of those INTs, like throwing into double coverage, was not the first part of the season Sammy D were accustomed to.

I think MM is the perfect guy to guide him into ‘bounce back’ mode.
It was a brutal game for him for sure

Not sure what it is with playing the rams, but Seattle always flounders.

After all the Offence BS, the rams only won by a *missed * fieldgoal (albeit a long one). So at least the defence can hold out / keep games winnable
My initial feeling is, even though this one stings, just gotta chalk it up to ram/seahawk stuff

Yeah, he sucked bad today, but he has shown resiliency in the past at least, so hopefully he keeps growing. Like you said, we sure as hell don't have the answer currently on the roster, and this looks like a horrific QB draft at the top, let alone where we'll be picking.

I really wanted us to make a move for Jake Browning in the offseason, so obviously, I have no idea what I'm talking about, so maybe the answer is out there, who the hell knows.

We need to find a franchise QB. You could see it in his eyes. He's the 90's Bills. We have a huge window opening and he could be the cock block.

We know what he can do.

Honestly, what do you guys think it is? Not asking for answers like ‘he suck’s’, ‘same as he’s always been’, etc. He has been magnificent for us up until this point..few errors here and there but NOTHING like today.

Everyone has bad games but, why does he look ‘shook’ versus the Rams? Is it just ‘big’ games? Pressure?

If you ask me, playing the game at the NFL level, crap opponent or not, is always a high pressure situation.

What’s the deal? Particular scheme? Sean McVay got pics of him with Epstein?

If it were any other opponent, I’d just chalk it up to a bad game…this seems too surreal though. He looked like a backup in a new system…putting it mildly.

Stumped….

I just learned something new: Darnold lost to the Rams in 2023 as a Niner.

I did not remember that.

Then in 2024 as a Viking. And now 2025.

I am not sure I like this as he has some demons to crush v the Rams and likely two more chances to do so this year.

I know all of us here like seeing the low sack numbers, but SD needs to learn that it's better to take a sack than to blindly throw the ball where it's up for grabs.

Maybe he was having flashbacks to the playoff game?

Darnold did beat the Rams once, as a member of the Adam Gase-led Jets in 2020. The Jets jumped out to a 20-3 lead and held on to win 23-20. Late in the fourth quarter, the Rams passed on what would been about a 55-yard FG attempt on 4th and 4, with Jared Goff throwing an incomplete pass to Seahawks legend Gerald Everett. Four Frank Gore runs later, followed by a six-yard Darnold pass to Gore on 3rd and 6 iced the game.

It was kind of funny because the Jets were 0-13 at the time and a 17.5 point road underdog. The previous week Darnold threw for just 132 yards in a 40-3 loss to the Seahawks.

We’re going to get a chance (by the end of the year) to know for sure where Sam sits on the big game meter

It’s ok to be concerned, but let’s give him the year to see how it all shakes out by January (or later) 😎

This could be a trend again. Or a blip in an otherwise great season

We’ll know soon enough
