The Seahawks are coming off a tough rough win where the offense was impressive. The defense should get a boost from Ziggy and Poona coming back. We're riding a high.

The Saints are a very good team, but Brees is out. Teddy Bridgewater is an underrated QB with a stronger arm than what Brees has shown lately. Which may mean they challenge our secondary more.

Playing at home, we should win. But is anyone else worried about this game?

Not sure I’d its a trap game, but the line makes me nervous. Seahawks are only favored by 4.5, I would have thought we’d be favored by at least a TD at home against a team with their backup QB.

The Saints love Teddy, and they're still a loaded team. With Flowers dinged up l'm expecting them to attack our secondary and stretch us out.

It's only a possible trap game IF the teams decides to let down since Brees is hurt. With Poona and Ziggy playing our D-Line will be very stout and should be able to apply maximum pressure on whoever is playing QB for them. I expect a lot of hurried throws and hopefully sacks making it difficult to execute a decent passing attack. They won't be able to run the ball which makes them one dimensional on offense.

Besides, we still have RW and he looking like a guy who intends to will us to wins every game so far this season. If that keeps up we will win this game with room to spare.

The Saints have a fantastic team. And will be challenging with any of their qbs.

I don't think my definition of trap game works with those facts.

The Saints have the league's top pass rush against our offensive line. Definitely a trap game.

Trap game might be the wrong terminology. Trap game means you're playing a team you should easily beat. I don't think this Saints team can be taken lightly with the talent they still have on offense and an improved defense.
There aren't many teams this Seahawks eam can beat just by showing up and this game is definitely not one.

Not sure about you're second statement, but your opening statement was pretty spot on.

The Saints are ranked too high to get "trapped" into thinking we get a gimme, even with a backup QB.

The whole "trap game" idea is a really bad cliche'.

Almost every NFL game is so reasonably competitive there is rarely something that looks like a "trap game". That one last week between NE and MIA comes to mind, but Miami still has an NFL roster and the difference between the two teams is still much closer than what you see in college or high school.

Doesn't matter the record or rankings, it's situation, you lose a HOF QB and those rankings mean squat since the player that helped get them there isn't playing, a team could take them lightly or come in thinking it's a win by just showing up and get beat.

We seen this with the Cards when Carson was hurt, we seen this with the Bucs with Glennon, we seen this with the Rams with Austin Davis and another QB they had play. Doesn't always mean we lose but it could be a game where they come out and get points and we have to play catch up and get momentum to win.

There is no team on the schedule that the Hawks should take for granted . The Saints can beat the Hawks if the Hawks are not dialed in tomorrow . IMO >>>GO HAWKS

The only potential trap part of this game will be the refs, the last time these 2 faced off, the zebras called an obvious bogus holding penalty on Shead, that extended the Saints drive that lead to their game-winning TD.

im hoping they dont do make up calls on this game, what better opponent for the refs to pick on without people saying Hawks got screwed over. I mean everyone still thinks we get all the calls. Fail Mary & the Falcons games they kept replaying over and over and over again. Even the Stealer forums think we won because of all the calls.

Trap game assumes the team we are playing is below average. This is not a below average saint team even without Brees

You let Teddy Bridgewater beat you and you are a poorly coached team. Period, full stop.

We'd be expecting a win vs Brees, or at least a close game. This any given Sunday crap is for teams whose coaches can't crack the code of getting their players up regardless of the situation.

.net meltdown will be earned if we drop this one.

Well said. I hate the terminology. It is similar to beating a crap team by one and thinking that is a negative. This how I analyzed football before I played it.

The Steelers game was the trap game. Playing a less meaningful AFC opponent the weak before a big NFC matchup with a playoff contender. That’s a trap game.

NO still represents an NFC elite team. Not a trap at all. Next weeks Arizona game before a big prime time Ram showdown is a trap game.
