I dont know about everyone else... i really dont care too much about a small altercation at the game. it happens...

I thought the pseudo apology on behalf of us all was a bit naive, as well as painting any fan base or city on the stories of a small few.

if she was popped in the eye, i hope the person that did it gets caught. i think most to all agree

Yeah I'm not saying it didn't happen, but to blast and bad-mouth us as a team, as fans and as a city in every post for the history of his time on that board only to turn around with this story just hours after an ass-whooping while nonchalantly still posting in other threads about the game in the wee hours of the morning...dude needs to get all his ducks in a row before he just drops a bomb like that and expects the team/fans/city he continues to rip on to take it all at face value.

I've been to literally dozens of games and never once witnessed fan abuse outside of verbal heckling you'd expect.

Same here. Went to 5 last year and all home games this year and have not seen this kind of abuse at any of the games. I've seen some verbal back n forth but no violence. So excuse me if I'm skeptical of a guy that says he's witnessed abuse all 3 times he's been there. And like others have said-what kind of man let's his wife and her terminally-ill friend travel to a stadium he's already seen so much violence in?

This is a weird story. Internet message boards probably aren't the best place to find justice. Think I would have sat on something like this until some more info came out instead of running to the interwebz, but that's just me. I will reserve judgement until a little more info comes out.

If this is true why wouldn't you want the police involved. He doesn't seem to want the police involved but wants stadium security involved instead???? Me thinks his web of lies is starting to unravel a bit. Bet he'll throw a tantrum and go stomping off and disappear for awhile once everyone discovers his story is a fraud.

Nothing about this seems to pass the smell test. The way he handled it is odd and not indcative of what one would do if his wife was assaulted. "I don't do Twitter" means I won't bother really contacting law enforcement because perhaps it didn't happen. If it did one would want justice, not blood from some mystery person living in another state. Won't happen. Silly.

The story is entirely fabricated.

I've been a season ticket holder as long as Qwest/Clink has been open (since the Kingdome days actually). It is impossible to walk 20 yards without running into a security guard, alcohol enforcement or police officer.

I've seen a few fights at the Clink, but I've NEVER seen a fight where security and the cops didn't get the people involved. You can't get away. There are so many people everywhere, someone sees who punched the woman, points them out to a cop/security, and immediately there are dozens of security personnel going after the aggressor. Not to mention, the Seattle Police and KC Sheriff have at least one officer assigned to each section of seats outside on the walkway. Just walk around the concourse at the game and you'll see them. They're EVERYWHERE.

I've had friends kicked out of the game for trying to sneak a smoke. They literally got two puffs into the cigarette before a cop/security grabbed them. I got ticketed once for throwing part of a pretzel at a friend (jokingly) - the security guard grabbed me within one minute of me throwing it. A buddy of mine was kicked out for falling sideways into the aisle, alcohol enforcement said he was too drunk, and he (sober) thought it was so hilarious that he couldn't stop laughing so they kicked him out. If anything, security at the Clink is a little overboard.

If this guy's wife had really been punched, there is ZERO chance the aggressor would have made it back to their seat and sat through the rest of the game. Just absolutely no way that happens. They wouldn't even have made it 20 yards before security or a cop grabbed them.

And it's pathetic that any Seahawk fan would apologize for that, as if all Seahawk fans are at fault. Even if this really happened (which it didn't), it's not my fault that this Saints fan got punched. Maybe it had to do with the blustery attitude shown by the OP.

I've worn my Seahawks jersey to nearly every stadium in the league, including multiple games in San Francisco, and never once had a problem. You know why? Because I don't talk trash to people. I mind my own business. I'm polite and friendly to other fans, and ignore the drunks. And I've never had a problem. Even going to the LA Colliseum in Seahawks gear during the LA Raider days - and that was the scariest stadium I've ever been to. Even there, people don't just go assaulting random strangers who are just standing there doing nothing. It is absurd to even believe something that stupid.

So this guy is free to never come back to Seattle. We don't need his attitude, his money, or anything else. Just stay out of Seattle, liar. The Seattle Police offered to help, and he ignored it because he's a liar. So yeah, stay out of Seattle, we're good with that.
