Great win, and I am so excited to be 8-1 and looking at our schedule, we just need to get a win in Atlanta and all the chess pieces are there. Only one thing might stop this team from going to the SuperBowl (No, not offense), their rushing defense.
Are we getting beat up front?
Is it a scheme problem?

Love some imput....

They're pinching our interior DL inside and keeping the ends outside on the inside runs and on outside runs they're downblocking on Red. Wagner had a good game, but I saw him guess wrong a couple times in gaps. Wright, OTOH, might be injured or something. He kept getting blown up by the FB and would only use his left shoulder against the block and wasn't using his hands at all. Also, a few times I saw us run blitz Wagner and or Wright and they just happened to run away from it.

Really, the first half in general was a brilliantly called game by the Bucs OC.

I wonder how many rushing yards they had in the first half compared to the second?

The run defense is getting real weak. Teams are figuring out a way to run on the defense. Two straight weeks where they gave up over 200 yards. I doubt fatigue is playing into this. They had rested for 11 days before playing the Rams last week and the Rams still rolled them. It needs to be fixed pronto.

200 yards to St. Louis last week, ranked 24th in the league. 205 yards today to TB, ranked 22nd in the league. What's been the obvious difference between the past 2 weeks and the previous 6 games? Bobby Wagner.

Obviously overly simplistic to pin all this on Wagner, but after keying on him today against TB, it seemed like he missed a ton of tackles and gap assignments. Maybe he is still hurting and not showing it, but I think the first step to trying to right this ship is trying KJ back in the middle and putting Malcom Smith back at WILL.

My guess is that if we stick with the same 'gameplan' against Atlanta, Jazquizz Rodgers is gonna eat us up next week and this time we may not have enough in the tank to make a comeback.

Needs Malcolm Smith.

I think he's the best linebacker on the team.

we need to tackle better. we seem to be giving away alot more yards after first contact. sometimes it looks like we are going for a big hit or strip the ball instead of just going for the sure tackle.

Nada, I watched the LBs today in general and while Wagner guessed wrong shooting a gap a couple of times he didn't miss tackles. This is starting to get sheep like around here.

Also, the run defense didn't improve with Wright in the middle. It stayed roughly the same as before Wagner got hurt. Besides, the way Wright played today you don't want him in the middle. Not sure what's up with his shoulder thing that he kept doing.

I'm more concerned why our DL is getting locked up on blocks and moving backward. Run defense is about the LOS in general. Not just LBs.

Draws have been taking advantage of penetrating dline. That leaves lanes and sight issues for the Rb to run through and bodies on lbs. Quick backs will be an issue from now on until that is addressed.

Poor tackling and Wags out of position A LOT. Quinn needs the guts to bench him.

Pete said we're going for the strip too much. It looked like it at times and Wagner seemed to be tackling air a lot.

That did get us a couple of times too. That and the long run where we only had 10 on the field.

Fatigue more than anything, Zac Stacy is tough as heck to bring down plus short week, I think they'll look a lot better after an extra day off.

Irvin seemed to be non existent today. But yes I thought we were better against the run with KJ at MLB.

Better in the 2nd half though, especially the last couple of Bucs possessions when Hawks needed it the most. Hoping that continues next week. But it does need fixed.
