Kaep is more than a one read QB if his second read is with his field of vision of the first read.

Papaki drops back and in 3 seconds has either thrown it to his first option or he is running.

Of all the bizarre claims Hawks fans make about 9ers players and coaches, this is really the weirdest, IMO.

Not trying to be a jerk, but seriously curious: do you actually believe this, or it's just a meme and a funny thing to say?

Actually it is jus screwing around with it. If you have ever read any of my comments about Kaeperstank you would know that I typically comment about how good he is.

I think it is funny that Niner fans take some offense to the 1 look 1 throw comments about Kaeperstank, when clearly he favors a receiver game by game. But Seahawk fans take the same offense to Niner fans as they will call out Seahawk receivers as average or critique the "no 1000 yard season" when Wilson is very balanced in spreading the ball around.

They both have really solid games, they are just KIDS and they are key components to two teams that have a combined 12-3 record and the season isn't even half over.

I say getting Gordon isn't a big deal because in the case of the Niners, to make it a big deal, Kaeperstank will have to go against what has worked for him. Just look at the pattern.

The production is there, it works. My point is that in the cases of both teams, there are only so many attempts to go around. We know that the running game is the key for both teams. This is why I completely dismissed the additions of Manningham and Moss for 2012. For them to REALLY be a factor, the offense would have to change, especially true when Smith was the QB. I'm not saying Gordon couldn't produce as a Niner, I'm just saying for that to happen, he would likely be taking production away from someone else rather than making MORE production. Vernon Davis is a big mismatch for any defense (well except Seattle) He is CKs guy right now and it works. Boldin is out there getting some too, but not many as a result of the run game.

So unless the Niners have the cap, want to change their offense mid-season or are planning on playing from behind a lot, I think the move doesn't have a lot of value and that it wouldn't have a lot of impact either.

Follow? I left out the GB game simply because that thinking has obviously changed. The week 1 oddity.

Its almost impossible to tell with Kap because we haven't really seen him play with a true #2 WR yet. Moss was a bottom 5 #2 WR in the NFL last season. Manningham is much better suited for the 3 WR set to play outside with a guy like Boldin in the slot. What he isn't in my opinion is a true #2 option. He is force feeding Boldin and VD right now because the drop off from them to the next options are pretty big. Even without a trade, I think we see Kap spread the ball around much more when you have Crabs, Manningham on the outside with Boldin in the slot when they go 3 wide. WR order should be Crabs, Boldin, Manningham, Patton, K Williams. They only have guys 2 and 5 right now and have roster placeholders like Moore getting snaps.

I agree with you. Many around here bash Kaep as a one read QB because if the guy develops away from it he will be very good. I truly think that based on his talent they are calling plays where they scheme one guy as the main read and focus the play on getting that player open and in space. Kaep can fire the ball with the best of them and seems to only have issues with short pressure throws or mid range touch passes (Only based on what I have seen and at most that is around 8 games). When you have Boldin,Crabtree,VD,and Manningham it is still hard to stop a 1 read QB of his talent if you are not covering the primary read. That is why he can feast on teams with weak secondaries and seems more human when playing against deep secondaries. The Seahawks match up well with the Niners, because we have the ability to take away 3-4 reads. Most teams do not. With that said the Niners offense is firing at a higher level then the Hawks and if we continue I could see the Niners beating us in Candlestick. I think we just match up to well with our deep secondary and tech sound DEs.

I have said it before if he can get the playbook sound and develop faster reads on plays he can easily be a top 5 QB. I think of him as Michael Vick with the Falcons, but farther along then Vick was.

Top 5 QB? I don't think so. Let's say Kaep DOES finally figure out how to make it to his second and third read. He still only throws the ball if the receiver is WIDE OPEN before he throws the ball. He has trouble hitting receivers in stride and has been bailed out by his WR corps more often than he has made a great throw. Most of his passes that are accurate come against zone coverage when the receiver is basically standing still in an open area of the zone. Screen and short passes are either lofted over the receiver's head or blasted through the guys hands. He has absolutely no touch when touch is needed. He is really fast though...in a straight line.
